WORK EXPERIENCE University of Regina, UR International English Language Coach Fall 2011 I am responsible for English language coaching and academic tutoring. I work closely with International and EAL (ESL) students at the University of Regina to develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. We are not an editing service, rather we hope to give students the language skills they need to self-edit and be successful in their academic and personal endevours. We work on developing the writer, not the piece of writing. This has been a challenging and exhilarating experience.

Moose Jaw Multicultural Council Summer Day Camp Director Summer of 2008, Summer of 2009, Summer of 2010, Summer 2011 I am responsible for planning and implementing a summer day camp program for immigrant and refugee children within Moose Jaw. Twenty to thirty children between the ages of 6-13 attend. We visit many parks and playgrounds,do crafts, and play games. After the first year, weve worked hard to build a language and literacy focus into the camp, and the children participate in reading, writing, speaking and listening activities every day. I communicate and work closely with their EAL teacher

at school to build a program that meets the needs of the children. Each year has been an amazing learning opportunity for both the kids and myself.

Educational Assistant, St. Agnes Elementary School, Moose Jaw Spring 2011 I began as a substitute E.A. this spring in various elementary schools, and then received a full-time position in a pre-kindergarten for the remainder of the year. The class had several high needs students, including a child with Downs Syndrome and a child with Aspergers, both of whom I worked with closely each day. Staples Business Depot Sales Associate February 2007 Present I have worked in various positions, including office supplies associate, cashier and technology sales associate. I have been trained in all of the above areas. Responsibilities include putting out stock, cleaning, interacting with customers,doing tech work on computers, and handling cash.

Moxie Club Austism Program - Mentor September 2008 June 2009 I mentored a ten year old little boy with Aspergers sydrome. We would attend Moxie Club together once a week where he would participate in games and activities with other children of similar diagnoses. I was responsible for helping him transition smoothly from one activity to the next, and was there to support and encourage him when needed.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE Prince Arthur School Classroom Volunteer February 2011 - Present I spend time frequently in Donna Humberts EAL (ESL) classroom for gr. 6,7,8 (and occasionally, Lynn Bartles EAL gr. 3,4,5). I help out wherever there is need, usually spending time with smaller groups and working on reading, comprehension, or other language activities.

Hawane Orphan Care Farm, Swaziland, Africa September 2010 December 2010 I lived on Hawane Farm for a semester and worked in the home school on site. I was responsible for teaching two young boys every day from the Swazi curriculum for the three months. The boys had been removed from regular schooling because they had fallen behind due to illness. In January they were able to return to school on account of their progress. Other duties on the farm included tutoring in the evenings, spending time with two boys with cerebral palsy on Saturdays, as well as various chores.

Moose Jaw Soccer Association - Coach Spring 2007, Spring 2008, Spring 2009, Spring 2010, Spring 2011 I have been actively involved in the Moose Jaw Soccer Association for the past four springs. I have coached U6, U8, and U10, both boys and girls. I am responsible for planning practices and activities and supervising games twice a week during May and June. Sunday School Teacher 2006 Present I am responsible for planning lessons according to a curriculum and teaching a class of 10-12 year olds two Sundays a month.
