Parish Priest: Revd Trevor Smith 9 Union Street Kilmore 3764 Ph: 5782 1155 tssmith@dragnet.com.au
thus says the Lord God: I myself will search for my sheep, and will seek them out. 12As shepherds seek out their flocks when they are among their scattered sheep, so I will seek out my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places to which they have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness. 13I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land; and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the watercourses, and in all the inhabited parts of the land. 14I will feed them with good pasture, and the mountain heights of Israel shall be their pasture; there they shall lie down in good grazing land, and they shall feed on rich pasture on the mountains of Israel. 15I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I will make them lie down, says the Lord God. 16I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak, but the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them with justice. 20Therefore, thus says the Lord God to them: I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep. 21Because you pushed with flank and shoulder, and butted at all the weak animals with your horns until you scattered them far and wide, 22I will save my flock, and they shall no longer be ravaged; and I will judge between sheep and sheep. 23I will set up over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he shall feed them: he shall feed them and be their shepherd. 24And I, the Lord, will be their God, and my servant David shall be prince among them; I, the Lord, have spoken. For the word of the Lord: Thanks be to God

Lets do it again. Items can be brought in now and kept until the trees go up. Lists of appropriate food and toys are on the notice boards. Parish Poo: There is still plenty of poo left in the cage, 10 bucks a bag is cheap for Paynes Gold well, Paynes dark brown really! But whatever, it is great for your garden. Parish Polo Shirts: It was lovely to witness a "sea of burgundy polo shirts" at last weeks Fete (check out the photos on the parish website or on the notice board). Feedback from the community was really great with many saying it gave our church a sense of identity which we should be proud of. There have been a couple of parishioners wishing to place an order but to keep prices at a minimum we need the orders to be of ten or more. If you wish to buy a polo shirt for future Fetes, Stalls, Working Bees, Parish functions etc, please contact Caroline Burge. We won't be placing an order for a few weeks (unless we get inundated with orders) so if it helps you to pay it off in weekly instalments please let Caroline know. We do still have two large size left at $30. Retiring Collection: Our Mission Retiring Collection over the coming Months will be for the famine on the Horn of Africa through AngliCORD. Children, pregnant women and the elderly are amongst those hardest hit in the burgeoning humanitarian crisis caused the worst drought in sixty years in the Horn of Africa. Please give generously.
Saints Days this week: Wednesday 23rd Nov Clement of Rome, bishop & martyr (d.c. 100); Friday 25th James Noble, pioneer Aboriginal deacon (d. 1941). Pew Reflections for the Feast of Christ the King There is a way in which Christians like to see God as love, compassion, forgiveness, reconciliation and so forth such that they are averse to Christ the King who will judge them. In todays gospel, God takes human actions and non-actions seriously. The world is awash with the hungry, destitute, and imprisoned. If each one of us did just one thing a week for each of these people, we will be able to inherit the kingdom of God with Christ the King on the day of judgment. Pray that every Christian may take seriously his or her ministry to the afflicted. Give thanks for the Episcopal Church in the Philippines, for its Prime Bishop, Edward Malecdan, and for his clergy and people. The words and inspiration of Archbishop Desmond Tutu Im coming to believe more and more in the truth that everything we do has consequences. A good deed doesnt just evaporate and disappear.
