B. What to do at different stages? 1. FEEBLE The individual lacks skills and will to lead himself and others. He needs to acquire skills through training and education that will boost his confidence and will. 2. INFLUENTIAL The person has moderate will to lead others but still lacks the skill to be a successful leader. He requires effective learning programs that will enhance his skill. 3. ZEALOUS The person on this stage is highly willed but has low skill which will be a hindrance in his leadership style. Here once again, he needs training and education that will provide him with the right skills to successfully lead the people and his organization. 4. SMART

Through effective coaching the persons skills will be increased which will positively impact the individual. 5. MASTERLY The person is a master in his field. He knows his work and the organizations goals and objectives. However he is operating from a low will which may fail him in authentically leading others. He needs to concentrate on his work and belief in himself. He needs to listen to others and trust them.

6. Competent Here the individual is an expert in his field of work and has moderate will. He is almost ready to become a leader. With internal support, clearer goals and good communication network he can enhance his will and reach the executive level. 7. CAPABLE Here the person has moderate skill and moderate will to lead. Here there is some level of readiness. He should take interest in people and invest time to understand the values that motivate his fellow workers. He should take responsibility for his decisions and be ready to take risks to enhance his will and skill. 8. EFFECTIVE The person is highly willed and moderate at skill. Allow employees and colleagues to share their opinions and concerns. As a whole, you will be able to make improvements. Remain calm during a crises situation. If your employees see that you are calm, they will follow. He should remain focus and think analytically. 9. EXECUTIVE At this stage he is ready to successfully lead others. He is highly skilled and willed. However, he must strive to renew his emotional and physical strength. He needs to continually up-date his skills to stay at this position and therefore sharpen his skills and boost his confidence to grow as a leader.
