TECHNICAL DIRECTOR, Global Development and Infrastructure Support 1999 2005 Directed the information technology department of 167 staff consisting of high performance software developers, testers, data modelers, database administrators, network and security, production and non-production support with an annual budget of $30M+ across four locations (Stamford, New York , London, and Toronto). Successfully launched the R3FI, Fixed Income Views, DataScope Equities, and DataScope Fixed Income products on schedule and within budget. Led "Fast Track" development of the DataScope Portfolio product to migrate Legacy ValueScope product in record-breaking timeframes (6 months), retaining $10M per year revenue. Managed the day-to-day development and support of DataScope Equities product ($36M per year revenue); Main Data warehouse maintaining over eight million Equities and Fixed Income pricing data per day; and Terms and Conditions Databases comprised of Government and Corporate, Municipals, Mortgage Backed Securities, and Collateralized Mortgage Obligations. Defined roles, responsibilities, hired, trained and led a highly successful team of 25 technical staff in the development of the Database of Record (DBoR) infrastructure for Fixed Income instruments (Terms and Conditions, Pricing), Asset Backed Securities and Collateralized Mortgage Obligations. Oversaw the design and implementation of the custom Replication environment which replicated transactions from the DBoR system to product facing systems. This was the most robust production system in the companys history for 10 consecutive years until it was decommissioned. Only one Severity 1 outage experienced in 10 years. Successfully led the development of Fixed Income Database System which resulted in $25M savings to Reuters in the acquisition of Capital Markets Decision Inc. GLOBAL PROJECT MANAGER 1990 1993 Responsible for the global launch of News2000, the next generation News infrastructure; managed groups in London, New York and Tokyo. Achieved great success by introducing the ORAS (Offsite Read Approve Signoff) methodology in addition to persistence, dedication and commitment. Instilled "Failure not an option" attitude to all team members resulting in the successful launch of the News2000 product on time and within budget.
