yung kor hai ter roo suk wun neung English Translation: I dont know how much longer That I have to put up with everything Ive been hiding all the truth inside my heart Everytime we meet Everytime you turn face to me Though I look indifferent Do you know how much i have to force myself? Can you hear my heart calling for you, loving you? But I cant open my heart for anyone to know Can you hear it? My heart keeps waiting there for you Waiting for you open it and hope you will realize.. Someday Though I love you Though I feel but deep down inside, I dont dare to tell you Everytime we meet Everytime you turn face to me Though I look indifferent Do you know how much i have to force myself? Can you hear my heart calling for you, loving you? But I cant open my heart for anyone to know Can you hear it? My heart keeps waiting there for you Waiting for you open it and hope you will realize..

Someday Can you hear my heart calling for you, loving you? But I cant open my heart for anyone to know Can you hear it? My heart keeps waiting there for you Waiting for you open it And I hope you will realize That this person loves you Please I hope you will know Someday

The song begins with a piano melody played lightly, briefly pausing while sustaining the last note of every line, suggesting innocence and uncertainty. The piano music was accompanied by a girls voice while humming which evokes a deep sense of yearning. Throughout the song, the melody remained repetitive, gradually adding beat as the song progresses. And as the song is nearing its end, it intensifies a little bit by increasing the dynamics while transposing into a higher octave. The song ends almost like how it began, but this time, the humming part was given more emphasis, and it lingered for quite a while. But this time, the humming was more profound and seemingly certain compared to how it started. The lyrics are repetitive and narrative that suggests a first person point of view. Compared to Thailand traditional music, Someday did not have elements that were present in their traditional song. One would be the pentatonic scale. It actually contains certain characteristics of that of our contemporary pop music in America. Second, no traditional instrument was used. The most profound instrument used was the piano, which is an instrument used mainly by the western countries The song speaks about the personas unspoken feelings of admiration affection towards another person. The persona seemingly had no courage to tell the other what her heart wants to say. First three lines says: I dont know how much longer That I have to put up with everything Ive been hiding all the truth inside my heart. And it is an indication that the persona keeps something that she didnt want that other person to know. Every time we meet Every time you turn face to me Though I look indifferent The line, Do you know how much I have to force myself?implies that the persona seems to be in an internal conflict, by merely using the word force. Meaning, hiding something impedes her from telling him those feelings. Although it was not openly revealed, the internal conflict between telling the person her feelings and being indifferent is rooted on fear fear of rejection.

The persona is somewhat hanging by a thread, trapped in uncertainty and at the same time, clinging onto that little ray of hope, as she says, My heart keeps waiting there for you Waiting for you open it And I hope you will realize That this person loves you Please I hope you will know Someday Culturally speaking, Someday, the way I interpret it, reflects how women from Western cultures react and deal with situations such as falling in love. In western cultures, it wouldnt be difficult for a woman to confess her feelings to a significant other, as compared to a woman who grew up the east. For most countries, it is still quite taboo for a woman to tell her feelings first to the other person.

3. CHRISTMAS CAROL

Christmas Ben Wea La hen Krum Ra (Christmas is a Time to Love) Lyrics in Thai: Christmas ben wea la Christmas ben wea la Christmas ben wea la hen krum ra Christmas ben wea la Christmas ben wea la Christmas ben wea la hen krum ra ,

Boy kron jin lau mo kron jai jin hai qi wi mun maong, , Fang mo mi kroi bo mai jit koi kao jai, , Kau di wen ni pla jiao hai sai yun jai rod koo pang, Pla ye su wan gan nai rang ya. Christmas ben wea la Christmas ben wea la Christmas ben wea la hen krum ra Christmas ben wea la Christmas ben wea la Christmas ben wea la hen krum ra

English Translation: Christmas is a time Christmas is a time Christmas is a time to love Christmas is a time Christmas is a time Christmas is a time to love We often start to worry and people get upset, If things don't all go right on Christmas Day, What we should remember in all the push and shove, Is Christmas is a time to love. Christmas is a time Christmas is a time Christmas is a time to love Christmas is a time Christmas is a time

Christmas is a time to love

In contrast to other countries by which their lyrics spoke nothing but themes of joy, happiness and honor for the Savior, this particular Christmas song never mentioned anything about God, nor did it speak of positive emotions. Christmas is. One reason that can be justified is that majority of the people of Thailand are Buddhists. The song is more of realistic in nature, as compared to other Christmas songs. To remember that even in times of adversity, it must not impede one to love.
