Charitable Giving
The contributions from members of the Worshipful Company, including gifts and legacies, is insufficient to meet the increasing requests for assistance which the Company faces. It is for this reason that the Charity sub committee existsto seek ways and means of adding to the charitable funds. It is the intention to build on the reputation the Worshipful Company has established in the short time it has been in existence. The contributions by members and those outside the Company are greatly valued. There are several ways in which contributions can be made to support the work of the Charitable Trust: Regular contributions by Direct Debit or Standing Order Regular contributions by Cheque One-off Donations By a Legacy The preferred option is that of making your contribution by Direct Debit associated with a Gift Aid declaration which effectively increases your donation by 25% if you are a UK tax payer. Date Remembering the Worshipful Company in your Will by a Legacy is an excellent way of supporting the Charitable Trust, and would be greatly appreciated, regardless of the size of the gift. Please ask us for the appropriate form of wording to be used. For advice on donations, please contact the Clerk to the Trustees of the Charitable Trust at the address shown on the bottom of the Donation page. Thank you for your help and support. Charity Steward
