MBA Agri Business ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING SEMESTER III GUIDELINES FOR SAP MM & SD TEAM PRESENTATIONS 1. The students should study and prepare a complete chart with reference to the following a. Company b. Plant(s) c. Purchase Organization(s) d. Purchasing Group(s) e. Sales organization f. Distribution channels g. Divisions of the chosen company h. Internal Sales organization - Sales Office, Sales Group & Sales personnel i. Shipping Organization including the Shipping & Loading Points 2. Identify the various product groups/segments of any company of your choice from the manufacturing or retail industry. 3. A set of companies are given below. Note that these companies are only indicative and the students may choose from within and also from outside this list. 4. The course faculty member or the Institute will not guarantee any link or support for an entry into the chosen companies. 5. No two student groups will select the same company. 6. The groups will have to register the choice of their company (within 7 days) with the course faculty or to any other faculty member authorized on his behalf. 7. Study and draw the procurement process and sales process cycle with respect of at least two products (groups) of the company under study. 8. The teams (preferably two or three members) will visits these company and / or their channel partners (inbound and outbound logistics) in order to get the aforesaid details. 9. Participation is expected from each member of each team throughout the project. 10. It is strongly recommended to the students that such field visits should be undertaken only during non-academic hours/days, so as to prevent loss of any
academic sessions. The course faculty will not hold any responsibility for absence of any sort. 11. The students are advised to have their ID card during field visits. 12. You should complete the study and submit a report (hardcopy and softcopy) on or before October 5 2011 after which a viva-voce/ presentation (whichever is feasible) will be held (Softcopy should be sent to viraja@siib.ac.in) 13. The report will contain a cover sheet (format given below) and the content should be the following Contents Weightage in marks a. Acknowledgement (1 page) 10% b. About the company (Introduction and significance the 10% study (2 Pages) c. About the organizational data (structure), master data 50% and rules that are specific to the company ( 10 Pages) d. Relational write-up about your learning in the subject 20% vs. your findings in from the assignment. ( 2 Pages ) e. Full and complete reference / bibliography 10%
14. The evaluation parameters for presentation/viva voce would be thoroughness on the chart, ability to practically interface SAP learning with the selected company, Team Presentation Skills and Question & Answer performance. Each presentation shall not exceed 8 slides of content excluding the opening and closing slide. 15. The total marks would be 30 (Report 15 + Presentation 15) 16. Late submission for the report (both hard and soft copies) and absenteeism for presentation/viva-voce whatsoever will NOT be accepted. ----sd----Viraja P Bhat
