Spyraflo PB1-10M-P Aluminum Pillow-Block with a 10 mm Inner Diameter, Self-Aligning, High Performance PTFE Impregnated Bronze Bearing Details & Features The PB1-10M-P combines the Spyraflo Self-Aligning High Performance, PTFE Impregnated Bronze bearing with their sintered aluminum Pillow-Block housing. The unique final assembly offers design engineers a Pillow-Block that is lightweight, has clean lines, dimensional consistency and is corrosion resistant. The maintenance-free PTFE Impregnated Bronze bearings used in the Spyraflo product are an extremely high performance bearing. A 0.005 in (0.2mm) porous layer of bronze particles is sintered on to a steel backing plate. A solid PTFE lubricant is introduced into the bronze structure which is transferred to the shaft when shaft motion commences. Continued shaft rotation facilitates the continued presence of lubricant between the bearing and shaft. The bearing is chemically resistant to water, alcohol, glycols and mineral oils and is suitable for medium speed / high load applications where there is a possibility of shock loads, in a potentially dirty environment.
