Corporate Controller Managed the financial reporting and analysis activities of all foreign and domestic entities, as well as consolidations, forecasting, cost accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley, audits and tax returns. Re-structured the finance and accounting department, saving $0.4 million in consulting fees. Led the identification and disposal of $8 million of obsolete inventory. Renegotiated the companys insurance policies, reducing premiums by $0.3 million annually. Lead in the selection of the future ERP system, saving $0.8 million in implementation expenses. Key member of the executive team tasked with restatement of prior 3 years financial statements.
2002 to 2007
Privately owned, $110 million consumer goods company selling products and services to leading retailers including Wal-Mart, Target and Toys R Us. Vice President Finance (Interim CFO) Directed all financial reporting and analysis, audits, planning, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, cash management and treasury activities. Financial lead in the acquisition of a $20 million premium pet accessories distributor.

Implemented company-wide cash controls, refinanced a $30 million credit agreement. Executed a companywide restructuring, saving over $0.8 million in G&A expenses. Consolidated and restructured the companys supply chain, to save $0.8 million annually. Tightened inventory controls and implemented a company-wide standard costing. Negotiated for financing of $0.4 in equipment leasing and consignment inventory. Developed and executed sales & marketing plan, increasing revenues by 25% annually. Designed and implemented new store merchandizing racks, maximizing product display.
DOLE PRODUCE INC., La Jolla, CA 1980 to 1987 Division Controller: Directed all the financial reporting, analysis, and contractual activities.
Negotiated, Set up &managed $72 million joint ventures with produce growers in Mex. & CA. Collaborated in the design/production/marketing of the premium Dole branded produce.
