Four National Taps


Desalination: 10% of potable water needs

Local catchment: 2/3 of Singapore as water catchment by 2011

NEWater: From 15% of potable water today to 30% in 2011

and building a liveable environment


Launched in 2006 to transform functional waterways and bring people closer to water. New community spaces created, offering host of recreational options Master Plan drawn up with 100 locations to implement project till 2030

Tariffs based on principle of cost recovery. Commercial users do not subsidise domestic users. Demand management through tiered pricing and WCT.
