CareerDEVELOPMENTTOOLS OnCampusRECRUITMENT
Nongraduating and graduating students can participate in the CDCs Summer & Internship Recruitment Program and the Graduate Recruitment Program, respectively. Both programs provide eligible students with access to current job opportunities, information sessions, and theinterviewprocess(shouldthecandidatequalify).TheGraduateRecruitmentProgram begins in September, and the Summer & Internship Recruitment Program is active all year long.ManyorganizationspostsummerrolesasearlyasSeptember,andthebulkbeginningin November.Internships,rangingindurationandstarttimes,arepostedallyearlong. The CDC utilizes CareerQuest, our online recruitment management system, which provides studentswithaccesstoviewfulltime,summer,internship,parttime,oncampus,and volunteer opportunities. CareerLeaderTM and CareerLeader CollegeTM are online selfassessment tools for our Masters andBachelorslevelstudents,whichprovideexpertassessmentsofbusinessrelevantinterests, values and abilities, recommends career paths, career profiles, strengths, weaknesses, etc. TheseassessmentsareanintegralcomponentofMGMT5150andMGMT1000courses. ResumeBank The CDC publishes two online resume books for graduating students: the MBA/IMBA and BBA/iBBA Resume Banks, and each contain the profiles and resumes of undergraduate and graduatestudentswhoareintheirfinalyearofstudy.Submissionisvoluntaryandtakesplace inJulyeveryyear.TheResumeBanksareviewablebytheCDCsrecruitmentpartners. Inaddition,theCDCencouragesnongraduatingstudentstouploadadefaultresumeon CareerQuest,toensurethatresumesearchescanbeconductedbypotentialrecruiters.
TheCDChostsavarietyofcareerskillsandindustryworkshopsduringtheschoolyear,focusingon resumesandcoverletters,interviewskills,networking,etiquetteskills,personalbrandingand industryoverviewsessions.CareerCounsellorsarealsoavailablefordropinmeetingswith students from 11:30 am 1:00 pm every Wednesday, from September to April at Career Caf.
