L E A V E POLICY Before proceeding on leave you are instructed to submit a Leave Request to your immediate Manager, A request received

1 working day prior to the commencement of leave, will be considered a pre-approved leave, anything later than that will be a post approved leave. If request is received after the leave has been taken, it will be rejected and considered absent. The form must be completed and sent electronically by the Shift Managers, from their e mail accounts, to the Human Resource Dept. It is the prime responsibility of an employee and his/her Shift Manager to confirm that the application has reached the relevant person within the Human Resource Dept. Any leave which is without prior approval and a proper leave request will be considered as absent. Two half leaves are equal to one leave. A half leave can be anything up to 3hours, anything above that will be considered a full days leave. 10 days of continuous absences without any information will be viewed as a voluntary separation. Excessive absences and perpetually coming in LATE will be viewed as misconduct and thus Management can issue a show cause notice or initiate disciplinary action.

LEAVES DURING PROBATIONARY PERIOD: An employee may avail up to 1 day per month for any emergency i.e. wedding, death, etc of immediate family (blood relatives such as, brother, sister, son etc) in a month. Any extra days taken during the probationary period will be deducted from pay. AFTER COMPENSATORY /CASUAL LEAVE: The purpose of this policy is to provide all employees pay during periods of absent from work for reasons deemed compassionate such as birth, marriage, or death in the immediate family. Employee is allowed to avail two casual leaves in a month anything over and above will be considered as absent. Casual leaves that are pre approved one day prior are pre approved leaves anything after that will be post approved. Leaves Forms that are sent after it is the leave is taken will be rejected. CONFIRMATION

The compassionate leave will be limited to maximum 10 days.

SICK LEAVE/MEDICAL LEAVE: The purpose of this policy is to set forth the procedures and conditions under which employees may be granted time off with pay in the event of personal illness or non-job related injuries. The company recognizes the necessity for employees to be absent from work for reasons beyond the employees control, such as sickness or hospitalization due to illness or injury as made evident by a written statement from a licensed physician.

All confirmed employees will be granted medical or sick leave at their normal rate of pay for personal illness or non-job related injuries in accordance with the following schedule 1. Eight days, provide hospitalization is not necessary. 2. Twenty days if hospitalization is necessary and certified by a licensed physician. Any additional time off will be unpaid and at the discretion of the Management. 3. When employ is injured during work time his or her leave request should be signed by in house nurse/Medical Officer. ANNUAL LEAVE (VACATION): The company provides all its employees regular annual leave with pay in order to maintain health, morale and efficiency. This policy outlines the conditions under which employees become eligible for annual leave with pay. 1. Employees will be eligible for annual leave after completing one year of service with the company. 2. The entitlement of annual leave for all employees is 22 working days. 3. Annual leaves can only be availed in either one block or broken down into two blocks. i.e.: 22 leaves taken at one time or you can take 10 at one time then 12 another time. ( To discuss further contact HR on ext 380) 4. The amount of leave will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis depending upon the date of joining the organization.

5. Annual leave can not be accumulated and shall lapse on year end of employ. 6. No encashment of leave would be possible.

Marriage Leave The company will give 5 working days as Marriage leave, (after completion of 1 year of continuous service). MATERNITY LEAVE: Female employees may take Maternity Leave (after completion of 1 year of continuous service) for up to 6 weeks. During this period she will be eligible for full salary. Any further leave will be unpaid and at the discretion of the Management.

UNREPORTED ABSENCE & ARRIVING LATE: While good attendance is essential to the company to achieve its goals and objectives it is the key factor used to evaluate performance in determining salary increase and eligibility for promotion. Any unreported absence and arriving late will be treated as initial warnings and can lead to termination of employment. All absences will be unpaid Three absences in a month will result in a warning letter Strict disciplinary action will be taken after three warning letters

All requests for leave of absence are subject to management approval after considering the company needs and the nature of the employees request. It is department heads responsibility to ensure that only 20% of their department is off.
