1) Please describe briefly the operation for drawing water samples, testing and dosing with chemicals, or some

other means. Firstly cooling water for Boiler water sample point cooler opened and then Boiler sample opened crack and slowly open fully. After draining enough boiler water and adjusting cooling water supply to maintain boiler water sample temperature i.e. only to get water sample not steam and water. Then sample is collected in sample drum. Then close the steam sample and then after cooling close cooling water supply. 2) Please provide one photo of boiler water sampling. This photo should show the sample container being filled from the sampling point. The photo should be a wide angle shot showing where the in the system the sample is being taken. Copy of photos Attached 3) Is the elysator working? Elysators presently not in working condition and treatment is purely by chemicals ( Unitor ) 4) What type of chemical treatment do you use? Where is this chemical dosed? All chemicals are dosed directly in hotwell since no dosing unit is fitted presently. Alkalinity control: Dosing in cascade tank directly and maintaining PAlkalinity about (250-300 ppm) Oxygen control: Dosing in Hotwell directly and maintaining Hydrazine ppm about ( 0.10.2 ppm) Every Watch about 0.1 Ltrs and if result value increases reducing dosing amount otherwise vice versa Condensate control: Dosing in hotwell directly and maintaining Condensate Ph about 8.5-9.0 Every Watch about 0.15 Ltrs and if result value increases reducing dosing amount otherwise vice versa Hardness control: Dosing in hotwell directly and maintaining Phospate ppm about ( 3050 ppm ) Every Watch dosing about 0.08 Kg mixing in hot water and dosing in hotwell and if result value increases reducing dosing amount otherwise vice versa. 5) How often is the boiler blown down? Boiler blow down every alternative day for about 30 to 60 sec for maintaining boiler chloride level 0-100 ppm 6) Do you ever use shore side water for boiler feed? If so, when was the last time you took water from ashore and put it in the feed tanks? Lastly Shore water used after dry-dock i.e. till 24th Oct 2010 and since both feed water tanks were empty and boiler are drained for survey, feed water tanks were empty and filled with fresh water generator.

7) I would also like to have a copy of your most recent boiler treatment log, just for the month of November. Copy of Log Attached 8) Are you experiencing any problems with the boilers now? Both operational? Any leaking tubes? Any other problems? Both Boilers are working condition well and boiler tubes are not leaking and working pressures are good. No water/ steam leakages presently so water make up is very less unless blow down carried out. Only the problem with boiler no.1 is Feed water controller not in working condition and boiler no.2 Low-Low water level Trip non functional, Requisition numbers: 1641-VSL-REQ-10250, 1641-VSL-REQ-10-089.
