Job Description

Position Title: Concierge


Department & Location: Front OIIice Department / Hotel Mercure**** Vienna
Reports to: Front OIIice Manager
Responsible Ior: subordinates
Salary range: 25`000-35`000 euro / year
Position summary: Serves as guest`s liason Ior both hotel and non-hotel services. Functions are
an extension oI Iront-agent duties. Assists the guest regardless oI whether inquiries concern in-
hotel or oII-hotel premises attractions, Iacilities, services or activities. Knows how to provide
concise and accurate directions. Makes reservations and obtains tickets Ior Ilights, the theater or
special events. organizes special Iunctions such as VIP cocktail receptions. Arranges Ior
secretarial services.
Duties & responsibilities:
1. Develops a strong knowledge oI the hotel`s Iacilities and services and oI surrounding
community
2. Provide guests with directions to attractions or Iacilities in or outside the property
3. Provides guests with inIormation about attractions, Iacilities, services, and activities in or
outside the property
4. Makes guest reservations Ior air or other Iorms oI transportation when requested. Obtains
necessary itinerary and tickets
5. Makes guest reservations Ior the theater and other Iorms oI entertainment when requested.
Obtains necessary tickets and provides directions to the Iacility.
6. Organizes special Iunctions as directed by management
7. Arranges secretarial and other oIIice services
8. Coordinates guest requests Ior special services or equipment with the appropriate department
9. Contacts roomed guests periodically to ascertain any special needs
10. Handles guest complaints and solves problems to the degree possbile
SpeciIic limitations on authority: is allowed to engage expenses not exceeding 200 euros/day
without management approval
Prerequisites
Education: Minimum oI 2 years college education with emphasis in business, sales, or
marketing. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary languages used in the
workplace and by the guests who visit the workplace
Experience: minimum oI 2 years sales experience with a minimum oI one year supervisory
experience
Physical: requires bending, stooping, climbing, standing, walking, sitting, Iingering, reaching,
grasping, liIting, carrying, repetitive motions, visual acuity, hearing, writing, and speaking. Must
exert well-paces mobility to reach other departments oI the hotel on a timely basis
Travel Agent 1ob Profile and Description
The job oI the Travel Agent is as a Iacilitator Ior arranging and helping customers in opting Ior
the best travel packages that suit their interests and likings. The responsibilities oI the travel
agent is to keep himselI/herselI updated about the travel and tour packages and other travel
related inIormation so as to help and query the customer`s needs. The travel agent must also
assist and support their customers in all their travelling plans and make arrangements to provide
them with best oI services.
