Results Screens
If your results list more than one item, you will see a list of results. By default, results are sorted by relevance to the search. You can change how results are sorted and displayed

For more information and location, click on the item title

Full Display
This view includes complete bibliographic information as well as location and status of the item. Clicking Request will cause a checked-out book to be checked held for you when it is returned (places a hold)

Bookmark link can be copied for future use

Status indicates when a book is due if it is checked out

Location and call number Subjects are links. Clicking on them will find similar books

Journal Searches
Journal title searches in the catalog show you which volumes and issues we own of a specific journal. Search using the complete title if known. You may truncate or abbreviate the title. Journal abbreviations have been added to many records, but they may not always work.

Journal Display
If the journal is available electronically, access information is shown here. Sometimes only the table of contents is available electronically. Status shows if a volume/issue is available on the shelf (available), non circulating (Lib use only), or checked non-circulating out. The list shows oldest issues first. Search for older print copies by year or click the button to see all print copies.

Remote Access to Electronic Books and Journals

Access to the catalog is freely available. Access to electronic journals and database is limited to UT Health Science databases Center students, faculty, staff, and fellows/residents. When you are off campus, you will be prompted to login with your ellows/residents. off-campus, prom last name, HSC badge number and your Library PIN if you attempt to access restricted materials. Only current registered library borrowers will login successfully.
