history
natalie balmond, founder of purepotions, formulated the first of her products when her daughter lula was suffering from chronic dry skin. none of the creams she had tried helped to alleviate the itching and soreness. with great determination and investigation, natalie developed a natural salve in her own kitchen, using a combination of herbs and oils which hugely improved her daughters condition. very soon she was inundated with requests for her potion from people with similar skin problems. The salve is also suitable for people prone to eczema and psoriasis. the success of her salve inspired a range of natural baby products, equally as effective without harmful chemicals. purepotions are now sold to hundreds of people both nationally and internationally. today, purepotions receives many testimonies, letters and emails supporting the effectiveness of its salves and oils from people of all ages.

troubled skin skin salvation

a completely natural moisturising skin salve for people of all ages, from babies to the elderly. these products are also suitable for people prone to eczema and psoriasis. safety we recommend customers patch test before use (leave for 24 hours). can be safely applied to any area of the body, including face, hands and scalp. sizes 15ml, 30ml, 60ml, 120ml ingredients oils olive fruit oil - nourishing, anti-bacterial. beeswax - a natural emulsifier, provides a protective base and keeps the skin moisturised. safflower seed oil - excellent for sensitive skin. hemp seed oil - extremely nourishing, moisturising, rich in essential fatty acids (EFA's), which are often lacking in those with dry skin. tinctures of: nettle - rich in vitamins chickweed - rich in vitamin c, iron, calcium, potassium. calendula - for tissue regeneration. camomile - for softening and soothing.

product safety all purepotions are made to strict guidelines. purepotions skin salvation salve, skin salvation bath oil, lavender nappy salve and camomile baby oil have been pip tested by perfect solutions ltd. purepotions are a member of soil association certification scheme. purepotions are a member of health food association quality control all purepotions products are made using 100% natural *organic ingredients. *only the beeswax is non-organic. organic beeswax is only available from international suppliers, purepotions sources this ingredient locally to lower the companies carbon footprint we do not use water to bulk out the products. we do not use plastic containers that could cause eventual contamination of the products. we do not test on animals. we record and archive the specific batch number of each ingredient used within each batch of salves or oils made in line with soil association guidelines. each product shows a best before date and a cooking batch code number best before dates our salves remain effective, if kept cool for 30 months (2.5 years) and our oils remain effective, if kept cool for 18 months (1.5 years) - from the date of assembly.

natalies story

purepotions was founded by Natalie Balmond when she was struggling to moisturise her daughters very dry, sensitive skin how purepotions began... when my daughter was about six months old, I noticed that she was developing very dry skin. I began to try to moisturise it but I noticed that she would react very badly to anything mass produced or chemical. Her skin was extremely sensitive, even so-called natural creams irritated her. I searched and searched to find products that would moisturise her very dry skin that did not contain petro chemicals and harsh preservatives. finally out of desperation I researched and experimented with oils and herbs in my own kitchen. It took many months, and lots of help from some special friends to fine tune a recipe. Finally, I formulated a beeswax based salve combined with oils and herbs - and in a very short space of time, Lula's skin was softer and clearer than it had been in years. From my kitchen table I made one or two pots a week for Lula and for close friends and, as interest grew, so did the demand for my natural salves and I formed a company. I now receive hundreds of testimonies from people confirming the success of our natural salves and oils.
