Patrick, November 13, 2011 To: Director or Executive Staff of Foto Hut From: Pamela Merritt Subject: Strategy for Success for Foto Hut Date: 11/13/11 Business Brief This is a paper discussing the strategy that I believe Foto Hut needs to pursue in order to maximize the investors expectations. Business strategies are available in different formulas. \The traditional strategies are mainly based on the competition in the external environment, where as modern strategies give importance to the internal resources of the company. Dynamic business strategy, and customer oriented strategy are some of the new strategies. The management experts are in the constant research to find out new strategies. Innovative strategy is one of the most modern types of strategies. Most often, business people used to take the basic points of any of the successful strategies and will mold a unique business strategy according to their resources and competition, they have to overcome (Business Success Strategies, nd). Current Situation of Foto Hut Foto Hut is a camera production facility that is headquartered in Taiwan and began operation five years ago. It assembles and ships cameras to multi-store chains, local camera ships, and online electronic firms located Europe-Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and North America. Foto Hut has sales volume of: 40% in Europe-Asia, 30% in Asia-Pacific, 20% in Latin America, 10% in North America The company currently has a 2 star P/Q rating. I believe that the issues that need to be addressed is that outsourcing is out of hand in Quarter 3, there is no corporate social responsibility, and there is no repayment on debt. Set of Business Goals and Objectives Our company wants to provide superior products at the lowest possible cost so that our net profit will be the highest possible for our investors. Foto Hut is increasing our sales volume by 10% over the duration of the game. The game requires us to meet investors expectations with: growing EPS; increasing ROE; credit rating; stock price gain; and image rating. I would think that if we make good decisions that create good performances that it would gain investors confidence. Basic Strategy to Achieve our Company Objective In order to achieve Foto Huts objectives, I believe that we need to concentrate our sales in North America and Latin America. The increase in market share will provide everything that the investors are expecting and then some. The best strategy has to be selected and then placed into practice to determine whether the strategy is feasible or not.
