Microdispersive elastomeric siloxane polyamine. ELAM RP is used in the elastomeric finishing of cotton garments. * physical state : semitransparent liquid * colour : colourless * ionic charge : cationic * pH 1% : 5+1 * specific weight at 20C : 0,98 g/ml * storage stability : very good, in normal environmental conditions, for 6 months; close the container after each sample, avoid frost and storage near heat sources and hot sun. * stability to pH variations : very good from pH 4 to pH 7 * stability to hard waters : good up to 10 dH (in acid environment) * Water: it can be used both with hard and soft water: best results are obtained when soft water is used. * Temperature: use at room temperature. * pH: adjust the pH by adding acetic acid (about 5 pH)

ELAM RP is good for all fibres, it allows high quality finishings with very high fastness properties to both wet- and dry-washings. Due to its microdispersive quality, ELAM RP can seep and spread in an even way into the fibers of the fabric treated. In this way it enhances the peculiar properties of the elastomeric finishings such as: resilience, elasticity, slippery, sewability. ELAM RP can be used both by padding and by exhaustion: in the latter case the addition of small amounts of acetic acid (0,5 gr/lt.) improves the exhausting.

ELAM RP can be easily diluted in water at any concentration; if you work with softened water you get the best results. ELAM RP does not need any catalyst, as it is crosslinking (from 120C onwards): at these temperatures, and when you use anticrease resins, best results of permanence to the next washings. Amounts to be used a) By padding from 10 to 30 g/l ELAM RP pH between 4,5 - 6 Drying/polymerization: from 120C to 150C. Very good results are reached, for instance, by drying linen/viscose or 100% linen at 120-130C in Airo or in basket. b) By exhaustion from 0,5 to 5% (g.w.) ELAM RP: add the product to the wash at room temperature, with circulating fabric, adjust the pH by adding acetic acid (about 5 pH) and circulate for 10-15; take the fabric out, spin-dry and dry. It is compatible with cationic and non-ionic dyes and products; compatible with U/F reactive and anticrease resins. Avoid using mother emulsion and recycling baths.
