Commencement Date and Duration of Internship Period The Internship Period will be from TBA to TBA Internship Allowance & Working Week The trainee extends the work placement voluntarily until the working hours: 48 hours per week, excluding meal breaks. The trainee will be provided USD 200/- & monthly Service Charge as an Internship Allowance with the benefits outlined in this contract. Please note that there are no income taxes imposed from the government of Maldives. Training/working week is 6 days.

Probationary Period One (1) month from date of commencement. During the probationary period either party may terminate employment without notice or compensation.

Work Permit Requirements The appointment of the trainee is subject to a general medical examination and the approval of a work permit by the Republic of Maldives. The following documents will be needed to process the trainees work permit, 8 Passport size photos Copies of Passport data pages passport must have at least 14 month validity Copies of educational and professional certificates translated to English including details of work experience, attested as true Copies. Proof of personal medical insurance coverage Internship request letter from the college The above should be scanned and emailed to the Company immediately to commence the work permit process.

Accommodation The trainee will be provided with accommodation on a shared basis within the resort.

Personal Property The Company cannot accept responsibility for personal property, which is lost, stolen or damaged within the Resort. Please ensure that the trainee have adequate personal insurance.

Medical Leave & Insurance Coverage The trainee will be entitled to pro-rata per annum of paid leave in the event of sickness as per the labour law. The trainee will be responsible for arranging his/her own medical insurance coverage. The trainee may be able to do this through the school. Please fax proof of medical insurance coverage to the undersigned as soon as possible. Relocation and Repatriation The trainee will be required to cover his/her own relocation and repatriation expenses whilst industry placement. After the successful completion of 06 months the hotel will reimburse the student one way economy flight from the point of hire. Return Air ticket from Male to the point of hire will be at the Interns cost. Annual Leave The trainee will accrue pro-rata annual leave per year as per the labour law.

Benefits The following additional privileges will be available to the Trainee: All meals & beverages in the Team Restaurant at no cost Uniforms and laundering of uniforms and personal clothing Purchases from the souvenir shop will be at a discount of up to 30%

Notice Period During the probationary period: the notice period is a minimum of one (1) weeks written notice. After the probationary period: either party must give a minimum of one (1) months written notice or payment in lieu thereof except in instances of gross misconduct when no notice period nor payment in lieu is given.

Confidentiality & Conflicts of Interest Except in carrying out duties for the Company, the trainee must keep confidential and must not either during the course of her employment or at any time thereafter directly or indirectly disclose, publish or use for her own benefit or for the benefit of others either; Any of the Companys information or that of its customers without first having obtained the Companys written consent to such disclosure, publication or use. Any information, which has been disclosed to the Company by others under agreement, which requires the Company to keep such information confidential.

These confidentiality requirements do not apply to information that has become public knowledge without fault on the trainee part.

Personal Conduct Personal conduct is particularly important for all team members who are expected to maintain proper decorum at all times. During your assignment here at the Beach House Maldives, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, you must devote your time and attention to the service of the company and may not be or become involved in any other service, occupation or business without prior written consent from the General Manager.

Other terms and conditions of employment Please note that this contract of employment covers the key terms and conditions of employment and that all other terms and conditions of employment are as stated in the company Team Member Handbook and Hilton International Policies & Procedures.
