ITS ABOUT BUSINESS

THE ISSUE THE SOLUTION
EMPLOYEE RETENTION American LGBT employees with foreign national partners cannot sponsor those partners for immigration benefits, and may request transfer abroad or accept a competitors offer due to discrimination in U.S. immigration law ADVANCEMENT & PRODUCTIVITY Mobility and career advancement for LGBT employees can be hampered by immigration restrictions in the U.S. and abroad WORKFORCE PLANNING & FLEXIBILITY Foreign national LGBT employees in the U.S. may not bring non-American partners with them on the dependent visas that heterosexual employees use

A LEGISLATIVE FIX The Uniting American Families Act (UAFA) is a bill in Congress that would allow citizens and residents to sponsor their lesbian and gay permanent partners and children for immigration to the United States BUSINESS SUPPORT Congress needs to hear from businesses who are frustrated at seeing LGBT employees treated differently than their heterosexual colleagues under U.S. immigration law
