How the Auction Works
Each auction item will go to the highest winning bid.
For group packages such as dinners and trips, the winning bid can come
from an individual or a group.
There will be 2 rounds of bidding for silent auction items (Round 1 closes at
9:30PM, Round 2 closes at 11:00 PM). If you do not win what you want the
first time, you can try to get something similar in the next round!
Silent auction items can be bid upon in increments of $5. Minimum bids are
listed on each item’s bid sheet. Items numbered 100-154 are in Round 1.
Items numbered 160-212 are in Round 2.
Winning bidders should bring their donations to class on Monday April 28th.

following causes:
INTERNATIONAL AIDS VACCINE INITIATIVE: This global organization is
working to speed the development and distribution of preventive AIDS
vaccines. IAVI’s work focuses on four areas: mobilizing support through
advocacy and education; accelerating scientific progress; encouraging
industrial participation in AIDS vaccine development; and assuring global
access.
REBUILDING TOGETHER: This organization’s mission is to preserve and
revitalize houses and communities, assuring that low-income homeowners,
particularly those who are elderly and disabled and families with children, live
in warmth, safety and independence. Our section will be participating in this
year’s National Rebuilding Day on April 26th in Boston.
SUMMER SEARCH: This Boston-based organization aims to build character
and leadership in low-income high school students by providing scholarships
for summer experiential education programs and ongoing mentoring.
Summer Search offers students the chance to step out of their environments,
expand their horizons, and change their future.
UNICEF FUND FOR IRAQ’S CHILDREN: This fund provides humanitarian
assistance in health, nutrition, water and sanitation that specifically benefits
women and children in Iraq. More than 170 UNICEF staffers are working in
Iraq, and UNICEF has also set up staff, communications, and warehouses in
newly-opened sub-offices in Syria, Turkey, Iran, and Kuwait.

ITEM # 100: BARBER OF SEVILLE AT THE MET. One of the "highest
highs" to NYC living is a night at the opera. Enjoy 2 tickets to see The
Barber of Seville at the New York Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center. We
know that many of you will spend the winter break in New York City, so

ITEM # 113: DUNLOP 300G TENNIS RACKET. Tennis & Squash Shop
(near Harvard Square) has donated a Dunlop 300G Tennis Racquet. It
comes with a case and a coupon for a free stringing. This is the same
racquet that James Blake uses and was the Editor's Choice in Tennis
Magazine's Spring 2002 Rankings. Both Tennis Magazine and Ryan Clark

ITEM # 114: FULL INDIAN DRESS. This entitles you to an ethnic Indian
