"Birth control itself, often denounced as a violation of natural law, is nothing more or less than the facilitation of the process of weeding out the unfit, of preventing the birth of defectives or of those who will become defectives." Margaret Sanger, "Woman and the New Race" with a preference by Havelock
Ellis, New York: Brentano's, 1920.
Two years later Sanger made it absolutely clear and put all fears to rest:
Margaret Sanger,
Woman, Morality, and Birth Control. New York: New York Publishing Company, 1922. Page 12.
Personhood: Abortifacients
Let me be clear. Abortion is Not Genuine Birth Control! Drugs that work after the sperm and the oocyte have joined which is the biological beginning of sexually reproduced human life perform Abortions, Not Genuine Birth Control. Again, Margaret Sanger, the Mother of the Birth Control movement, the Founder and past President of Planned Parenthood clears the air and settles the distinction between Birth Control and Abortion by putting it this way:
"Any attempt to interfere with the development of the fertilized ovum is called an abortion." Margaret Sanger, Family Limitation, Revised Sixth Edition, 1917. However, today "medical" or "chemical" abortions are non-surgical abortions which use Abortifacients (i.e., pharmaceutical drugs) to induce abortion. Specifically, an Abortifacient is a drug that kills a newly formed human being, whether by directly killing the baby or by preventing implantation, and so cause an abortion, either intentionally or unintentionally. Drugs such as the RU486 or Ella One are examples of Abortifacients. Medical abortion became an alternative method of abortion with the availability of prostaglandin analogs in the early 1970's and the anti-progestogen mifepristone in the 1980's. RU486 is the old name for Mifepristone 2 and even the clinical researchers behind ellaOne use the word "embryotoxic" to describe the pills ability to terminate the life of an embryo (i.e., human life). 3 Again, let me be clear. Abortion is Not Genuine Birth Control! Moreover, Personhood Will NOT Ban or Outlaw Genuine Birth Control!
Personhood: Abstinence
"Thou shalt not commit adultery. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband." (Exodus 20:14; 1 Corinthians 7:2, KJV)
Abstinence (abstinence, b'st!-n!ns) is the only Genuine Birth Control method that is 100% effective in preventing pregnancy as well as sexually transmitted diseases. Many define abstinence as an exceedingly well thought-out choice regarding one's mind, body and sexual health. Abstinence within Holy Matrimony includes the practice of voluntarily refraining from some aspects of sexual activity during certain times of the month. BEFORE Holy Matrimony Abstinence is what I call God's Genuine Birth Control plan for our precious youth. All too often today we act as if sexual intercourse and conception are not connected, but they are. Abstinence demonstrates a love for life at every stage of our development by acknowledging that one obvious consequence of sexual intercourse is the possible conception of a new innocent living human being.
"Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you." Jeremiah 5:1, God's Word
