Entertainment Emerges as Top Content Vertical On Float Mobile Reading Apps Technology, Business, News and Sports Round

Out the Top Five Categories by Number of Publishers and Popularity with Readers
SAN FRANCISCONovember 3, 2011--Scribd, Inc. today announced that entertainment has emerged as the top content vertical on Float, its new suite of mobile reading applications, in terms of number of publishers and popularity with users. The company has signed on 50 publishing partners in the entertainment category that have agreed to deliver full articles to Float users. New and popular content partners include The Wrap, Deadline Hollywood, Entertainment Weekly, Celebuzz, OK! Magazine, People magazine, Radar Online, among others. Entertainment is now the fastest growing content category, said Robert Macdonald, Scribds SVP of business development. Twenty percent of Float users are now finding it easy to find, read and share their favorite entertainment-related news about celebrities, movies, TV and more with their friends on their iPhone. Technology, business, news and sports round out the top five categories in Float. In all, Float features 20 interest-based categories and over 250 publishers.
