PRODUCT INFORMATION
Hoffman Cable Ties and Mounts are designed to rigid specifications to insure a strong secure bundling system. The products are resistant to shock, vibration, petrochemicals, and environmental extremes. Our unique moisture retention bag material maintains the quality of the product to assure that it does not dry out and become subject to breakage. Ties and mounts are available in natural, weather resistant, and heat stabilized. Special colors are also available: red, blue, yellow, green and black. Hoffman maintains a large inventory of ties and mounts to meet your immediate needs.

The maximum and minimum bundle diameters are the size and extremes in which a cable tie will function properly.

Ordering Information (Standard is Natural) Suffix B HS Material Weather Resistant Black - Nylon 66 Heat Stabilized - Nylon 66 Minimum loop tensile strength is an important performance characteristic. It is the minimum amount of force expressed in pounds that is required to cause the assembled tie to fail and /or cease to perform its function. It is measured by assembling a tie around two split mandrels that are appropriately sized for the particular tie and separated at a speed of one inch per minute until the tie fails. High tensile strength ties are needed for big and heavy loads while lower tensile strength ties are used for small to medium and light loads.

Material Specifications:
Cable ties are manufactured from type 6/6 nylon. This polymer is noted for its toughness, impact strength, resistance to abrasion and chemicals and versatility in a variety of product applications. Type 6/6 Nylon meets the UL94V-2 flammability rating which states that when ignited the nylon will extinguish itself when the flame is removed. It is available in 3 types. Natural Ties: Used for indoor applications. Temperature range is -40F - +185F Weather Resistant: The addition of carbon provides a greater resistance to ultraviolet light. Temperature range -40F - +185F Heat Stabilized: For use in higher temperature applications. Temperature range is -40F - +231F Special Moisture Resistant Packaging: Nylon is a hygroscopic material that absorbs and desorbs moisture. Its application performance is therefore dependent upon fluctuations in the moisture level of the environment. Hoffman's special packaging insures that ties and mounts will operate at optimal performance. Bags should not be opened prior to actual application.

CABLE TIES
Hoffman cable ties are quality product designed to provide optional application either by hand or tool. These self adjusting, self locking ties provide a permanent harness. Cable ties are a one-piece molded mechanism with no metal barbs. They combine outstanding physical properties such as light weight, abrasion resistance, toughness, high tensile strength, exceptional dielectric properties, resilience to common solvents, alkalies, dilute acids, oils and greases. Specifications: Type 6/6 Nylon, Self-extinguishing - UL94 Flam. Class: V-2 UL Recognized component.

Cable Tie Gun

CTG100 Our metal cable tie gun is lightweight and designed to secure the tie to the bundle when the preset tension is met and cut off the remainder of the tie, flush with the locking tab. To operate, thread the cable tie snugly around the cable assembly, insert the tie end in the gun and pull the trigger. The tool automatically adjusts to the preset tension, cuts the cable tie flush and rejects the cut off portion without any sharp edges.
