Description: Instrumentation and Controls Senior Designer with strong experience in petrochemical industry, refineries, and distribution terminals

tank farms design. Must be a self starter, organized and have excellent communication skills. Responsibilities:

Work as the Instrumentation/Controls Discipline senior designer on various small to medium size project on all project phases, including front end engineering and detailed design, under supervision of a lead engineer. Prepare detail design scope of work, planning and scheduling, work-hour estimates and progress monitoring and reporting. Produce typical I&C related engineering deliverables based on P&IDs, including the following: Instrument indexes, instrument installation details and material take-offs, PLC / DCS/SIS I/O schematics, control power distribution schematics, wiring diagrams, instrument loop drawings, relay control schematics, motor control schematics, instrument location drawings, cable and cable tray routing drawings, PLC / DCS panel layout drawings with bill of materials, control system block diagrams, S/D matrix, control network architecture, fibre optics installation details. Place instruments and cable trays in 3D model, and take 2D cuts for instrument locations drawings. Produce wiring detailed drawings using SPI

Instrumentation Designer Requirements: . Experience in Project for Oil and Gas and refining application . Experience in designing layout and location drawings . Experience in Instrumentation and Control design including 2D CADD, and 3D Modeling (PDS and PDMS) . Experience in designing for Wiring and Loop Drawing with the use of SPI (InTools) . Ability to produce Engineering Drawing by CAD drafting using MicroStation and AutoCad . Ability to assign I/O termination for Junction Boxes, Marshalling Cabinets and Field Termination Cards . Ability to define the MTO for cables, Primary and Secondary Sketches
OB PURPOSE: This position supports the CMA Engineers in the process of design and as-building of the drawings related to electrical, instrumentation & control systems for MRM and JPM Projects inclusive of all Utilities. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Responsible for the following activities: Creates and revises P&IDs and all Discipline 07 and 08 drawings (Electrical/Instrumentation). Produce AutoCAD format drawings. Quality checks to ensure proper reviews and approvals before drawings are migrated to Livelink. QA/QC of MOC / Projects as-building process - with close cooperation with construction contractors and field engineers

Provides drafting support to CMA Engineers during the Project design phase and implementation KEY CHALLENGES: CAD knowledge in order to ensure quality drawings for the as-building process - multi-discipline (electrical instrumentation, piping) tight timelines high level of technical detail required, understanding and use of SAS drafting standard remain goal oriented while managing multiple simultaneous projects Intools user and modification of the instrument loop/wiring diagrams Preparing Bill of Materials, Field Purchase Requisitions (FPR) and Work Orders (WO) in JDE/SAP. JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Engineering degree (an excellent starting point in the Engineering career for an E.I.T.) Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D & 3D, knowledge of Microstation. Knowledgeable in Electrical & Instrumentation Specifications would be a definite asset. Producing isometric and P&ID drawings. SUPERVISION RECEIVED Supervision provided by CMA Engineers/Managers WORKING CONDITIONS: Physical Effort: Field/Office position Physical Environment: Required to work indoors, outdoors (during projects walkdowns) Sensory Attention: approximately 60% of time will require intense concentration. Spends approximately 1 hour/day in meetings. Spends approximately 5-6 hours/day on the computer

Job Description Design and review engineering work packages, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, data sheets and P & ID markups Sizing of control valves and flow devices Prepare various design calculations used in the discipline Assist with the Front End development of projects Specify instrumentation and control hardware ensuring functionality, material selection, and safety Review and check calculations, design models and drawings and design documents prepared by others in the group and by material suppliers, as assigned. Work with designers in other disciplines in the overall assignment to coordinate designs. Prepare bulk material quantity takeoffs and material requisitions for materials applicable to the discipline. May develop work plans, budgets, and schedules for basic designer tasks based on input and direction from supervisor when assigned. Compile, maintain and access job drawing files, records, and drawing controls, as instructed. Work independently and take initiative to research information to complete assignments within the budgeted time Participates in and fosters a work environment that is based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction. Job Requirements A recognized degree or diploma in an engineering or scientific discipline, from an accredited college or university, or; Specialized courses in an engineering discipline, engineering design and practice, and practical work experience to the degree necessary to perform the responsibilities outlined below.

5+ years in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Pipeline, Heavy Industrial or Power projects in an EPC or facilities environment. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) Excellent interpersonal skills and a teamwork attitude Knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards Intermediate to advanced computer skills Must have an eye for detail Familiar with valve and instrumentation application, sizing, and specification Knowledge of the following would be assets to the applicant, but not mandatory: o INtools; o AutoCAD; o DCS/PLC/SCADA/SIS; o Intrinsic Safety concepts occurred.
