BLASS COMMUNICATIONS: In 2009, successfully undertook an assignment to ghostwrite an article for a major trade publication on the benefits of using an IdaTech PEM fuel cell system as a backup to the grid in the telecommunications Industry J. The project disseminated information on how to protect your childs eyes during Halloween festivities, a prime time for eye injury DEVENEY COMMUNICATIONS: In 2007, made a significant contribution to the national introduction of the Steris Space Decontamination system by obtaining extensive national media coverage for it. The Steris Space Decontamination system is designed to be used for decontamination of any enclosed space such as operating rooms, hotel rooms, ambulances, etc. The Steris system is the first, and, thus far, the only space decontamination system to receive the EPA label certifying that the Steris Space Decontamination system is approved for both chemical and biological contaminants EDELMAN PUBLIC RELATIONS: In 1997, for Warner Lambert, developed PowerPoint presentation and talking points for nurse practitioners recruited to visit elementary schools across the country to educate parents about the problem, prevention and solutions for head lice; Also created 800-number script

which included general information about head lice and the use of the Warner Lambert product Nix to alleviate the problem THE HOYT ORGANIZATION: In 2008, obtained local and national trade and consumer print media coverage of the Los Angeles-based mixed-use, transit-oriented real estate development named Solair LEVLANE ADVERTISING|PR|INTERACTIVE: In 2007, obtained significant national media placement (print and broadcast) for Jeff Petty, CEO of client Wesley Enhanced Living, a CCRC (Continuing Care Retirement Community) so that Mr. Petty could share with the public his innovative plan to re-invent aging and aging services for todays seniors. Was also hired to sucessfully help publicize the greening of the Philadelphia Eagles facilities and activities. COMED COMMUNICATIONS: In 1996, wrote press kit, articles for professional (non-peer review), trade and special interest consumer publications, and obtained additional print media coverage to make medical professionals aware of the newly-invented, innovative medical device from Arrow International, Inc., called the ARROWgard Blue antiseptic-impregnated central venous catheter, that has been shown to significantly reduce nosocomial infections in critical care patients; Also wrote press kit and obtained trade media placements for introduction of Bristol-Myers Squibbs new generic division Apothecon BUCHANAN PUBLIC RELATIONS: In 2007, wrote Op-Ed piece for client by-line on the beneficial activities of Big Pharma, aimed for placement in The New York Times or the Wall Street Journal SHANDWICK PUBLIC RELATIONS: In 1996, designed and implemented public relations campaign for Walking Magazines special Americas Ten Most Walkable Cities issue; Campaign included a media tour for the magazines editor-in-chief to all ten cities and resulted in excellent media coverage nationally as well as in all 10 markets HOOVER INK: In 2006, undertook successful media relations/media placement effort for custom motorcycle manufacturer Wicked Choppers KDJ COMMUNICATIONS: In 2008, successfully introduced AIS Group, a financial management firm with expertise in commodities, through media placements in Barrons, Fortune, The Wall Street Journal, CNBCs Power Lunch, Investors Business Daily, The Financial Times and more Appointed by the Carter Administration in 1978 to serve as Advisor on Communications Policy to U.S. Secretary of Energy James Schlesinger, with input on all of the Departments energy awareness and information outreach activities. Among my accomplishments, I independently and successfully contacted the Film and Television Producers Associations and got them to write energy-saving/energyawareness messages into their scripts. This was particularly successful with the daily Soap Operas. In 1997, developed a comprehensive corporate media kit for Elsag Bailey Process Automation N.V. (now known as ABB), a global corporation headquartered in the Netherlands, to serve as the documentation underlining the companys introduction to media in the U.S., where the company, though listed on the NYSE, was largely unknown; Undertook extensive media training for the companys CEO and arranged appropriate media interviews for him which resulted in coverage in major U.S. business media achieving recognition for the company in the U.S. business and financial communities Working with Ball Agricultural Systems, Inc., in 1984, conducted successful industry-oriented public affairs campaign aimed at expanding the market for client the Navajo Agricultural Products Industrys beef cattle through improvement of its reservation feedlot operation; Handled all Congressional and Department of the Interior liaison activities as well as all media relations activities From 1980 through 1982, successfully handled all aspects of business, trade and consumer public relations for The LaserVision Association, the international industry association for laser optical videodisc hardware and software technology; Also handled all trade and consumer media as well as assisted in manning the booths at the semi-annual Consumer Electronics Shows; Worked directly with the highest level executives of the member companies which included IBM, U.S. Pioneer, Pioneer of Japan, N.V. handedly arranged for this first Awards presentation to be nationally-televised by Merv Griffin Productions at no cost to the magazine Developed a broad-based business-to-business public relations campaign for United Intelligence, Inc., a white collar crime investigating firm; This 1998 campaign involved the writing of brochures, marketing materials, pitch letters and press releases; Campaign resulted in significant print media coverage including a nationwide AP story and a front page story in the Wall Street Journal which resulted in a 400% increase in new business inquiries for the client In 2007, handled a successful information outreach project for independent investment advisor firm Investor Solutions, Inc., a highly-successful financial management firm with nearly one-half billion dollars under management In 1986, successfully undertook a comprehensive media relations program and created and implemented a fundraising event for the NYC-based child welfare organization, The Childrens Aid Society; Due to my efforts, the fundraising event, named The Childrens Walk-A-Thon for the Hungry at Home and Abroad, received a great deal of positive print and broadcast media coverage and also achieved its goal of having the participating children do all the work to raise a significant amount of money for the hungry Early in my career, I worked as a researcher at The New York Times, a reporter at Fortune, a researcher for such public figures as Norman Cousins and Dr. Joyce Brothers, and a researcher/writer/press contact for a number of New York State and national Democratic candidates political campaigns. I also provided author William Styron with excellent research for his screenplay based on the notorious Snyder Grey murder case of the 1920s and provided equally excellent research to producer Marc Merson for his film project about the life of Huddy Leadbelly Ledbetter.
