Ah! The Holidays! This month begins the holiday season for many of us. Are you a HO-HO person or the HO-HUM type? Either way, sticking to your diet and fitness routine should be at the top of your list. You will increase your energy to get through this busy season while decreasing the added stress. Your fitness routine should be something you look forward to and not an added stress. If youre not seeing results or are bored, check with a trainer for new and fun ideas. Exercise is the most cost effective way of relieving stress and keeping control of your mental and physical well being providing a happier season for you and those around you. Taking care of YOU 1st makes taking care of everything else fall into place. Be vigilant about the foods and drinks you consume. Make conscience choices at holiday gatherings. Over indulging is hard on your digestive system and can zap your energy as well as cause blood sugar and mood swings. Think before you indulge is this worth it? If yes, eat slowly and savor small bites of your favorites. Keep to your normal sleep routine, trying for a full nights rest each night. Keeping your bio-rhythms consistent helps reduce stress and sadness while letting the body and mind recharge. Take a few minutes each day to sit quietly, breathe deeply. Thankful for what you have. Appreciate all in your life.
