Whether the QB is reading the defender, or the QB is running one of the plays to the left, you force the defense to have to account for him. Getting the QB involved in the run game will help to open up different aspects of your pass game.

Zip 19 Horses

This is 19 Horses to a solid front on the playside. Following our blocking rules, our TE and PST would block down and our PSG would pull and lead through. We would have our backside zone to the play.
Using Your QB as a TB
In the one back gun, your QB can become the tailback Your ace back becomes your fullback You can run your regular two back run plays from the gun This is great if you have a very athletic quarterback
From an Even set under center, you couldnt run the Iso without motioning a slot. From the gun, you the defense has to account for two backs in the backfield, and still account for four wides. Versus the 30 stack, you can run QB Iso.
QB Iso

We can put the tailback either to the call or away. The QB must delay slightly with the back away from the call
The best case scenario is to run the ISO play to the shade. We get a combo to a backside backer.
The QB will open as if he is throwing left and show the ball. The back will pass set one count and work up to the PSLB.

15 QB CTR

The QB counter is a great goal line play. This is also a great play versus the 3-3-5 defense.
QB Wrap

Another great short yardage play is the QB Wrap. The QB will ride the back then work into the A Gap.
Empty 12 Inside vs a 13

The QB will take the snap and raise the ball to his hug and squeeze position, then he will attack the outside hip of his lineman blocking the Ohio. We are not blocking the backside 5, so we want to get downhill.
The QB will take the snap and put his shoulder to the bubble. He will work off the combo on the Nose or Shade.
The BST will work under the BSG up to the Will. We work this if we are getting flow from the will and we are having trouble reaching the backside DT.
Jack puts us in a fold scheme, with the inside lineman going first. With a 3 and a 1 tech, we get two angle blocks and we get the backers blocked. This is a quick hitting play.
Motion one of your receivers into the backfield to become the lead back for the quarterback. You can motion the receiver across the formation and back, or motion him to the opposite guard.
QB Counter Trey

Motioning the Y or A allows us to contain the backside B gap for the QB counter. The line executes counter blocking and we can either zone the 3 tech to the playside, or combo him to the PSLB.
