Praise and Prayer

Pray for our evaluation
this week and for our final time together as a team.

STATE OF THE MOVEMENT

Last night we held our annual Celebration and Vision night. Its a night where we invite all of our students, parents, and key people from the Newcastle community to celebrate the year by hearing stories from the year. At the end of the night we cast vision to the students and community about where we want to see our movement in the future. I had the privilege of leading the celebration time. multiplying disciples of Christ here at Newcastle. Let me explain this Project. The last 2 years we have only had a total of one student each year go on this Project. I dont know what happened, but God decided to bless us with 7 times that amount this year. Ben, a recent graduate from Newcastle, spoke about how God has called him to join the missionary team next year. I wrote about Ben a couple letters ago, but his story is very significant. In only the 3rd year of a full time missionary team here, we have an Aussie from Newcastle joining the team next year! Praise God! To me these three stories summarize how God has worked and is working now at the University of Newcastle.

Praise God for a fun time

A 2nd year student named Pete shared about how he has been challenged in sharing his faith this yearbut not only challenged, he has actually been sharing his faith. He has started talking to his friends, brothers, random people on the train, and his classmates. I find this really encouraging to see. I What struck me most from the- believe he is just the beginning se stories were the last 3. END OF THE YEAR

I write this letter on the eve of my last week of official work here in Australia. We have finished our time on campus for the year and students are preparing for their exams. I have a wide range of emotions as I prepare to leave Australia at the end of November. The reality of my time here in Australia coming to a close has not hit me yet and probably wont hit until I land in the States. Next week we are evaluating the yearwhat went well, what we can improve, and where do we want to go next year. Please pray for us as this can be a very helpful time in planning for next year. It will also be the last time I get to hang out with my team here in Australia.
