ANNUAL REPORT

ANDEKA Cak Lempong Musical Group (CLMG) of International Islamic University

Malaysia had involved in various performances and programmes inside and outside the
campus throughout the year. The following is the list of programs and performances
participated by ANDEKA in 2008 notably from January to August.

JANUARY

ANDEKA had involved in Islamic Performing Arts Concert collaboration with Istana
Budaya and lead by En. Ku Zahir Ku Ahmad our current trainer of culture group. Others
various musical groups that join the concert such as Gamelan Group, Angklung Club,
Zapin Team, Choir Group, Percussion Group and also band from the Istana Budaya. We
also had performed for Humanitarian Dinner as the closing for the Humanitarian Week.
The Public Relation of COSA has invited us in Corporate Forum CSR vs. CSI which held in
front of the Rector of IIUM at the Senate Hall.

FEBRUARY

ANDEKA had performed for Malay Resonance Night organized by the CELPAD. We also
participated in Ummatic Week which also joined by the members from Percussion
Groups. Later, we were invited to perform for Cocuriculum Award organized by the
Angklung Club at the Main Hall. The next day the Kulliyah of Engineering has invited us
to perform for National Inter School Engineering Challenge (NISEC).
 APRIL
The committees of Sekolah Berasrama Penuh Integrasi, Rawang had invited ANDEKA to
perform during the presentation of certifications on their convocation celebration. The
ceremony was held in the Dewan Al-Aqsa Sepintar.

MAY
ANDEKA Caklempong Musical Group has received the new instruments of Caklempong.
The second set of this instrument are the originated from the Indonesia. These new
instruments are consists of complete set of Caklempong from Minangkabau
with Pupuik, Serunai and Jidor.

JUNE
CLMG had performed for the Persatuan Seni Silat Cekak Malaysia Convocation held at
the Main Hall, CAC. Later, we were also requested by our former CLMG members to
perform for his beloved sister on her wedding ceremony. The show was held at the UKM
Bangi.

JULY
The Entrepetrenuership Festival Committee has invited us to perform on their opening
and closing EFEST Week which held at the Main Audi and Riverside, CAC. This festival
was organized by the Kulliyah of Economics and Management Science. Others, the
Caklempong Group has opened its new membership drive to all students. The interview
held through two phase. The students have to show their ability to play the musical
instruments and their attitude also been observed by the interviewers. Those who are
selected have attended the first gathering at the Training Room 1, CAC. The President of
Andeka has welcomed them to take part in CLMG group. Taaruf session was held among
the new students to strengthen the membership of Caklempong members. We also
performed for wedding reception for Mdm Martinelli beloved daughter at Gombak.
 AUGUST
ANDEKA Caklempong been requested to perform for wedding ceremony which held at
the Kelab Shah Alam Selangor. On this month also we organized Caklempong
Instruments’ Maintenance Gotong-Royong. The gotong-royong was held at the Training
Room 1, CAC. Later, ANDEKA also involve in opening CONVEST in conjunction with the
24th IIUM Convocation Day.

launched the meeting.

3. ACTIVITY REPORT PRESENTATION

3.1 Sis. Masturah gave a brief presentation regarding to Secretary,
the group activies in 2007. Sis. Masturah

4. FINANCIAL REPORT PRESENTATION

4.1 Br. Arif Shah explained the financial flow of the year. Tresurer 1,

5. SPEECH BY THE PRESIDENT

5.1 Official resignation of previous main board. Previous Main Board
Declaration of new Main Board for 2007/ 2008 session. and new Main Board
6. MATTERS ARISING

6.1 The first 2008 main board meeting will be held on

Thursday, 9 August 2008.

6.2 Sis. Aliatul Mona requsted to increase the fees of the

club from RM 10 to RM 20.

6.3 Proposed schedule for training :

6.3.1Monday and Wednesday for Junior
6.3.2Tuesday and Thursday for Senior

6.4 Prepare the schedule for mentor of junior

6.5 Sis Noraida asked about the requirement for training

leave and proposed to change the time for training due
clashes with her class.
