Today is Florida UM Childrens Home offering - As United Methodists we can all be proud of the history & ministry of the Florida United Methodist Childrens Home. We were born out of the love & concern the Florida Annual Conference had for children as we responded to the call of Jesus Christ to serve those in need. Your Fifth Sunday Offering support is vital to the success of the Childrens Home. What began as an orphanage has grown into a complex & diverse ministry. The consistent & generous giving of local churches & friends of the Home have touched & changed thousands of lives over the past 103 years. Thank you for making a real difference in the lives of the boys & girls who call us home. You may place your offering in the envelope that is provided or write Childrens Home in the memo field of your check. Offering placed on the altar rail next Sunday, during Holy Communion, is used to help those in need in our church and the community. Sunday Theme for Nov. 6 - White Sunday - We currently have an abundance of paper towels, but can always use forks, toilet tissue, 9 foam plates, 6 dessert plates, 8-10 oz. foam cups, liquid hand soap, 55 gallon trash bags & coffee stirrers.
