Title: Idetify planning problems in grass root level

Introduction:
Village is unit of Bangladesh. It has over 85000 villages. More than 85%
people live in village. Our economy is agrobased. If we want to develop our country
properly we should at first develop our rural area. For that reason firstly we need to
identify the problems of rural area.
Objectives of the Study:
The main objectives of this report are:
1. To find out the problems of rural area and justify them.
2. To find the solution of those problems.
Limitation:
Limitations of the study are given blow:
1. This village cans not representative of all village of Bangladesh.
2. We are trying to find all of the problem of the village but can’t do that
because we don’t get participation of maximum population.
3. Maximum participation of our survey was woman because male people was
in town for informal work, so the result is may not exact.
Location:
Our study area was Jhorbhanga village. It is situated in Jalma union under
Batiaghata thana. It is under 5 no. ward. The total area of Jhorebhanga is near about
500 sq. m. it is bounded by Sachibunia on the north, Rangimari on the south, Putimari
and Alutola river on the east and Durgatola on the west. There are 5 km. south from
Khulna city and on the west of Khulna-Chalna road.

Problems:
There are followings are the main problem of the Jhorbhanga village
1. Transportation:
It is one of the most important problem of Jhorbhanga village.The
transportation system of this village is very poor. Internal road is so narrow.
Only one km road is semi pacca. And othere four km road is kacha.There are
no vehicles in this village. Peoples are walk one place to another place.
2. Water supply:
In this village there are 7 tubewells for 700 people. All of those tubewells are
arsenic(Ar) free. But those tubewells are not enough.
3. Irrigation problem:
It is the main problem of this village. In this village all agrobased land are use
only one season. Because there is no facilities of watter supply. Farmer
depends on rain for irrigation. There is no option of irrigation without natural
resourse.
4. Education facility:
There are not enough educational facilities in this village. There has two
school. One is Jhorbhanga (reg) primary school.There are 167 students in that
school but only three class room. It is not enough.
5. Market place:
There are no market place in this village. In Sachibunia village has a market
place. People are went that market place.
6. Electricity:
80% people get electricity facilities. But other people can’t use electricity.
Voltage up-down and load shading is the vital problem of this village.
7. Housing:
It is other great problem. Maximum house are kacha (80%) made by mad or
bamboo and straw or golpata. Most of the houses are very congested.
8. Sanitary system:
In this village the people has a poor knowledge about sanitation. Maximum
people use kacha latrine. Only 12 sanitary latrine in this village.
9. Health:
There are no health facilities in this village. When people need help of doctor
they went Batiaghata thana helth complex or Khulna sador hospital. There are
no activities of NGOs in this village about health.
10. Communication:
In this village only one private digital telephone. In nearest Sachibunia bazar
there has one mobile phone shop.
11. Employment problem:
It is another vital problem of this village. Agricultural work has only one
season. So rest of the time they are stay in unemployment problem. That time
they are work in town for informal work.
12. Drainage system:
There are no drainage systems in this village. There was a small khal but that
is going to finish day by day.
13. Poor activities of NGOs: there are little participation of NGOs in this
village. Only Grameen Bank and ASA has their activities in this village.
