Just select them both in the Open Script dialog. SubCreator should properly identify both files. You can open files by dragging them onto the SubCreator window. Like in other ca ses you can drag both a script file and a movie file once at a time. The same ap plies when you drag files onto a SubCreator icon. Use of the Ctrl-A shortcut adds a timestamp value based on the current movie pos ition to the beginning of a line. Time is formatted based on the current setting s defined in the General Settings dialog. To change timestamps values you don't have to open the accompanying movie. Howev er, you won't be able to insert new timestamp values, because the time value is taken from the current movie position. You can still edit the timestamps manuall y (which isn't recommended). It is possible to delay or advance more then one timestamp at once. Simply selec t the lines you want to change and then press Ctrl-W or Ctrl-D to increase or de crease those timestamps. This way you can even delay or advance all times in the script. Note that all lines not containing timestamps are not affected. Those l ines are treated as comments. It is strongly recommended to set the time accuracy to 0.1 second. Especially wh en you do lots of time processing and conversions. SubCreator internal file format is very similar to the common time format, altho ugh timestamps can have four different representations. SubCreator also uses spe cial lines to shorten or extent the default time duration. Those are so-called a uxiliary lines. This solution is compatible with most players supporting the tim e format. If you want to remove all auxiliary lines (Not recommended) go to the Export dia log, select Simple Time Format and uncheck "Add auxiliary lines...". Press the " Convert" button and press the "Update Editor" button. When done, close the Expor t dialog. USE THE HELP SYSTEM. HELP IS NICE. YOU MUST USE HELP. HELP IS COOL... :) SubCreator stores most setting in a INI file which can be found in the Windows d irectory. It also stores paths to last opened, saved and exported files. If you want a Save As dialog to start with the same directory as the Open Dialog, you ha ve to press and hold the Shift key when opening any Save As dialog. And vice ver sa, if you press Ctrl+Shift+O an Open dialog opens with the directory set to the one used during Saving. It is highly recommended to save your work frequently to avoid accidental data l oss. You can use keyboard shortcut Ctrl+S. In the Processing Dialog you can now use the Ctrl-A shortcut to enter the curren t movie playing time into any edit box which handles time values.
