You may have even been referred to this guide by a friend or read reviews about it on the Internet. Regardless of how you found this guide, Im happy youre here. I wrote The QuiBids Strategy Guide because there seems to be a desperate need for some kind of easy to understand guide or manual for people who simply dont want to throw their money out the window by randomly bidding on items and hoping to just get lucky. There needed to be something to follow from experience, tons of research and trial and error that taught people how to drastically increase their chances on winning on QuiBids and reveal secrets one would otherwise miss. Im not talking about tips from QuiBids.com or the 100% guarantee to win YouTube videos. Im talking actual numbers, facts and strategies derived from someone who has done the research. By reading this eBook, theres a good chance that you wont be throwing away money on wasted bids and will exceedingly increase your winnings. Thats my goal. This guide is designed for someone who has been on the QuiBids website and has a general feel for how it works. PART ONE: A FEW RULES YOU MUST ALWAYS FOLLOW IF YOU WANT TO WIN MORE AND BID LESS There are 4 rules you must ALWAYS follow no matter who you are, what you are bidding on or how many bids you have to blow. #1. Never use QuiBids.com with any other browser other than Google Chrome. It is by far the fastest and one split second can make the difference in walking home with a shiny new MacBook Pro or being the last person to bid before the winner. If you dont have Google Chrome, you can download it here. http://www.google.com/chrome #2. Never bid unless there is 1 second remaining on the timer, no matter what! I have observed people hash it out in bidding wars when

The QuiBids Strategy Guide S. F. Michael the timer is still at 3 hours and 20 minutes and 16 seconds. Viciously going back and forth trying to get on top. I wonder one thing? For what? What are they trying to prove? Even if there are 15, 10, 5 seconds left on the timer, whatever that number may be, do NOT bid unless that timer says 1 second. The item isnt going anywhere until it hits zero, so why waste your bids? If Bidder #1 and Bidder #2 want to keep bidding at 12 seconds or 7 seconds, thats fine. Let them exhaust their bids and save yours for when it really counts. An added bonus of waiting to bid is after awhile it annoys people and they give up. There are only so many times you can think you are going to win when the same person swoops in at 1 second and crushes your near victory. If they know you are always going to be there when that timer hits 1, they are more likely to get frustrated, forfeit and move on. Just make sure you arent waiting too long and that one second has almost passed, or you may miss your chance. There have a couple instances where people have become upset because the auction ended and they didnt get their bid in soon enough. You dont want that to happen to you. Timing is everything. Perfecting your timing is your biggest asset, because once you do you should see a steep increase in your winnings. #3. Never skip around between items. Pick something you want to win and stake it out. Once you bid, commit to that item. I realize this isnt the most fun and it takes some patience, but you can arm yourself for winning when you know how many bids someone has already wasted and what the item usually sells for. That brings me to my final rule. #4. Look up the approximate ending (aka SOLD) price of the item you are trying to win before you start bidding. I realize this might not always be possible but this lets you know when to start placing bids. If the HDTV I have my eye on usually sells somewhere between $70.00 and $80.00, why on earth would I start bidding at $20.00? Its a total waste. In part three of this guide I have a chart that displays ending prices for the most popular items on QuiBids.com. Every now and then timing will have it where everyone waits on his or her bids and someone gets lucky and steals an item for way below the average sold price. Its not very often and, if you are looking to just get lucky, there are always lottery tickets you can pick up at your local gas station. PART TWO: STRATEGY, STRATEGY AND MORE STRATEGY. Letting others know you are here to stay.

The QuiBids Strategy Guide S. F. Michael When bidding on an item you want to make your presence known. Dont give up and keep bidding (however, make sure to follow the one second rule). You want the other bidders to know you are not going anywhere so they might as well give up now. This is what you call being relentless but smart at the same time. Check up on the other bidders. Always check the other bidders last win. You can do this by rolling your mouse over the top of their names. It will give you the last item they won, where they are from and the number of badges they collected (we will talk about working badges to your advantage later). People who have won something similar or of high value generally know what they are doing. You can still beat them; they just require a little more patience to knock off. Pay no attention to the never won people. They pop their head in and bid a few times thinking they are going to get lucky, then when they dont, they disappear as quickly as they came in. The only time you should ever use the Bid-O-Matic. Bid-O-Matics burn your bids quicker than you can count to 10. There is only one reason why you should ever use the Bid-O-Matic, which is to frustrate the other bidders enough that they give up. If you have been bidding back and forth (using the one-second rule of course) with a couple other people (never try this technique if there are a ton of people bidding), go ahead and start your Bid-O-Matic. Chances are you are going to lose one, if not both, of the people you are bidding against because they dont want to wait around for you to burn 25 bids. That would make them have to use 25 bids and they probably dont want to do that. The majority of the people bidding are just trying to win on luck. Not patience. Not all items have Bid-O-Matics. The ones that dont will end quicker and sell for less money because people dont have the time nor want to sit around on one item, so they move on. Whenever possible, opt for the auctions without Bid-O-Matics. Your chances of winning are much higher and you will win with a lower sold price to boot. Knowing when to get in. Try and bid when there are similar items up for bid or high dollar items up for bid. More people flock to the high dollar items and this makes it easier for you to zero in on your item because the competition is lower. If there is more than one of the same items up for bid at the same time, commit to the one with the lower price. People tend to exhaust all their efforts on the higher priced one because they think it will end first. Usually this isnt the case because everyone seems to have the exact same idea. This is why

The QuiBids Strategy Guide S. F. Michael you will occasionally see two of the exact same items selling within minutes of each other; one will sell really high and one will sell really cheaply. You want to make sure you are in on the cheaper one. In general, the least amount of competition usually falls on a weekday afternoon. This is also when the most items are up for sale, which decreases your competition. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings and afternoons are the most ideal times, but any time is better than the evenings or weekends. You will drastically increase your chances of winning if you participate at these times. Any night owls out there? You may think this would be an excellent time to win; however, QuiBids takes this into consideration and dramatically reduces the number of auctions going on in the wee hours. You will pay more in the middle of the night than you would all day.

PART THREE: THE AVERAGE ENDING PRICES FOR THE MOST IN DEMAND ITEMS. Pay no attention to the recently sold for $XX.XX underneath the item you are bidding on. Recently means ever and this is a tactic QuiBids uses to try and get the inexperienced to start blowing their bids early. Tell me the last iPad you saw go for $0.12? Thats what I thought. Speaking of the iPad, it is by far the most sought after item on QuiBids.com right now. So expect some tough competition if you are going after this one, especially the 64GB w/ WiFi + 3G. Below is a chart containing the most in demand items on QuiBids.com. Along with the item specifications, I have listed what the item is worth, the price it sold for and the time and day it sold at that price. When I mention time, Im referring to the time the auction ended, as this is what is most important. This chapter is helpful when you are ready to begin bidding, so feel free to continue on to Part Four and come back to this section later. Remember, the bids are what are going to cost you - not the final price therefore one of the keys to winning is knowing what price you should begin bidding.

Beginners Auctions are only for the newbies and you can only participate in them once. Keep in mind the number of bids that come with them lessen during high volume times. The Knife Sharpener may have only 10 bids with it on a Saturday evening but if you come back on a Tuesday afternoon it could have 30 bids attached and be easier to win. QuiBids will send you an e-mail shortly thereafter, letting you know that you can utilize the Buy It Now option. You think this sounds like a pretty good idea since you already spent $13.20 trying to win it. You were going to buy more bids anyway. You proceed and pay the remaining $46.80 plus a $1.99 transaction fee. 100 bids are deposited in your account. You decide to start bidding on a pair of Sony Headphones worth $50.00. You bid 15 times and the auction ends, you didnt win. You really wanted the headphones so you decide to once again utilize the Buy It Now option. But when you examine the page, you see all of the 100 bids you just bought didnt give you any credit towards Buy It Now. They counted as Voucher Bids, which if you are familiar with the site, you know Voucher Bids never count towards the Buy It Now, price. This is a frustrating loophole QuiBids designed that people seldom see. Bottom line: If you want your bids to apply to the Buy It Now option, buy them straight from the purchase bids area if you dont win a voucher in an auction. Hopefully, you will be winning frequently so you wont even have to worry about this. Do your research on retail prices. QuiBids.com claims that you will never pay more than what its worth. In some instances this is true. Sometimes it is not. The 16GB iPad with Wi-Fi retails for $585.00 on QuiBids (which is the price you will pay if you use the Buy It Now option plus $15.99 shipping). If you go to the Apple site, http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_ipad/family/ipad you will get the same iPad for $499.00 and free shipping. This is something to consider if you are planning on buying the item anyway. Remember to read the FAQs on QuiBids.com. http://www.quibids.com/help/ The more knowledgeable you are about the general rules and the fine print, the less your chance of getting surprised by one of their hidden guidelines. A lot of people are shocked when they get on a roll and discover they can only win 3 times in a 24-hour period. I was. You can only win 8 times a month. (They have limit busters if you want to remove one, two, three or even four of your last wins. You have to use the auction format to get these as well.)
