2. Overview The BACnet Service Tool is designed to function with any vendor's BACnet/IP and/or BACnet MSTP devices; the Infinet Service Tool is compatible with both Infinet I & Infinet II controllers. Both the BACnet Service Tool and the Infinet Service Tool can run on a PC or a PC/Pocket PC. The intent of both applications is to allow TAC/Andover Representatives or third party individuals to be more efficient, reduce the time for installation, reduce commissioning time and reduce common routine maintenance functions. Both tools provide the flexibility and mobility that every technician, balancer, or owner needs to easily view and modify points in their system. These tools give you the flexibility to use any vendors Pocket PC to connect to your MSTP/Infinet networks for access to controller points. The BACnet Service Tool can also connect via Ethernet from a PC or a PocketPC.

3. Summary of BACnet Service Tool functionality: 1. Automatic discovery of BACnet devices and display of found nodes in an expandable tree view. 2. Display all properties of an object in a list view (Object List View) 3. Display all objects of a given class in a list view showing only the properties specified by the user (Class List View) 4. Change the value of writable properties. 5. Backup objects in device to a file. 6. Restore objects to a device from a file. 7. Backup objects in an Andover Continuum BACnet device to flash memory 8. Update an Andover Continuum BACnet device's OS 9. Set an Andover Continuum BACnet device MAC Id 10. Perform a "Learn" on an Andover Continuum BACnet device MSTP comport. 11. Perform maintenance operations on devices such as setting the device's date and time, re-initializing the device, etc. For more information on the BACnet Service Tool, see the BACnet Service Tool Users Guide.

4. Unsupported or Partially Supported Features in this revision. 4.1 BACnet Classes The BACnet Service Tool does not support or only partially supports the following BACnet classes 1 : 1. Accumulator 2. Averaging 3. Command 4. Group 5. LifeSafetyPoint 6. LifeSafetyZone 7. PulseConverter 4.2 Complex BACnet Properties Users can not use this version of the BACnet Service Tool to set the value of complex properties such as schedule events and COV subscriptions. The only exceptions are the following two properties: 1. EVENT_ENABLE 2. LIMIT_ENABLE 4.3 Device Backup/Restore To/From File Backup/Restore does not support the optional Password parameter. 4.4 Device Object List Refresh When refreshing the object list of a device (Tools\Refresh with a device selected in the tree), the application does not remove from its cache any objects deleted at the device.

This version of the BACnet Service Tool does not display some complex properties of these classes (Command actions, for example)

4.5 No GUI when setting a Device's Date/Time. When setting a device's Date/Time, there is no GUI for the user to specify the date/time. The application takes the date/time from the host PC/Pocket PC and sends it to the device.

5. Known Problems in BACnet Service Tool The Wireless Module version is not always shown in the RoamIO2 Properties' dialog.
