The Opening of the Cave of Hira

The Prophet said :

Disturbed by the evil around, the Prophet used to spend several days alone in devotion, in the cave of Hira. He used to take some food with him, and when he came back he would take a fresh supply for another period. He continued to do so until he received the truth while in the cave of Hira. And this revelation started by these few verses.

Our Prophet said

Any man who sets out to seek knowledge is in the path of Allah till he returns from it. [Reported by Tirmizi] He who walks for achieving and in search of knowledge, for him Allah makes the path to Paradise easy. [Reported by Muslim]
In the above sayings, the Prophet gives us the glad tidings that if we start seeking knowledge, we will be on the righteous path of Allah and Allah will make our way to the Paradise easy. When we come to know about the importance of knowledge from the above sayings of the Prophet, we should then strive to attain knowledge to the best of our ability. There might be many students who leave their houses in the morning for school, but they are not in the path of Allah as they leave to have fun with their friends rather than seeking knowledge for the sake of Allah. Let us be not those who are wasting their time every day and even then do not qualify themselves for the glad tidings.

here might be no one who may not have any friend, as every one knows how important it is to have friends. But it is more important to see whom we are making our friends. The Last Prophet of Islam, Muhammad( )said: Man is on his friends way. Therefore, man should see with whom he is making friend.[AbuDawood] And so goes the saying: A man is known by his friend. The Prophet also commanded that a person of good conduct should be selected as a friend. He ( )said: The example of a good man is like that of a seller of perfumes; if he would not give you anything, his good smell would at least reach you; and the example of the bad company is like the oven of the iron-monger, if you are safe from its blackness, then at least its smoke would irritate your noses.[AbuDawood] The first Caliph , AbuBakr said: It is better to be alone than in a bad company. The company of the pious men is better than solitude. The true friend is the one who helps in acts of good deeds and helps to get rid of sins. But it is not necessary that you may leave bad habits only on having good friends, as evil spreads faster than virtue does. Many times a man who smokes cigarettes influences other persons to adopt this bad habit and it is very rare that on account of good friends, this bad habit is given up. Hence we must try to be a good friend and try to seek the company of good friends. ~Editor

Friendship
It is said that a man is known by the company he keeps. It is very true that a persons character can be judged by looking at his friends. Friendship is a mutual relationship wherein one desires the best for the other. Values like honesty, politeness, trust, compassion and concern in joys and sorrows form the basis of a healthy friendship. One often tries to imitate and follow the ways and habits of his friends; hence he should be wise to choose the right set of people as his companions. The Prophet said: A man follows the way of his Friend; Therefore, man should see with whom he is making friend . [Abu Dawood ] Associating oneself with pious friends will only make us better persons. In addition, it also becomes our duty to correct our friends when they go wrong. Sharing and caring for each other in all matters strengthens the bonds of friendship. A friend accepts us as we are, yet helps us to be what we should. Hence having the right kind of friends will benefit us both in this world and the Hereafter. BOOMERANG
Boomerang throwing is a spectacular sport. Thrown correctly, returning boomerangs fly in a curved path, eventually returning to the thrower. Make the boomerang described below and practice the throwing technique with your friends. Construction 1.Draw five centimeter squares on one side of the plywood or hard cardboard. 2.copy the boomerang outline on to the plywood using the squares for guidance 3.cut the boomerang using a fretsaw 4.Using a file rasp or small plane shape the arms of the boomerang. Each arm should have a rounded leading edge and a tapered trailing edge. And one side of the boomerang should be flat and the other side curved. 5.Now try some test flights using the throwing technique detailed below.

! For safety find an open space in which to throw the boomerang. And alert any people present before you throw. If results are poor try plaining the tip of the underside of each leading edge. This often improves flight. 6. Try more test flights if necessary plane a little more from the tips of the boomerang. 7. When the boomerang is performing well smooth it with sandpaper. Throwing techniques Follow these instructions to make the boomerang fly in a loop and return to the thrower 1.Hold the boomerang in the right hand. The curved side should face the body and the v point should backwards. 2.Stand facing at an angle of 45degrees to the right of the breeze 3.Step forward and throw the boomerang upwards at an angle of 45degrees to the ground. Flick the wrist so that the boomerang spins in flight. The arm should be straight and the wrist forward when the boomerang leaves the hand. The boomerang should fly upwards in a curve then glide down to return to the thrower. Try varying your throwing techniques and see if you can make the boomerang fly in different ways.

"My eye can see all that is in this world; The Entire world is within my net. I am only concerned with material things, What have I to do with spiritual matters? I can strike a thousand melodies, And openly proclaim all the secrets that I learn."
Faith said:

"With your magic even the waves in the sea are set ablaze, You can pollute the atmosphere with foul, poisonous gases. When you were associated with me, you were light, When you broke off from me, your light became fire. You were of Divine origin, But you have been caught in the clutches of Shaytan.
Come, make this wasteland a garden once again.

Borrow from me a little of my bliss, And in the world set up a paradise. From the day of creation we have been associates, We are the low and high tunes of the same melody."
