READING COMPREHENSION ( 25 M ) Read the following passage, then answer the questions below: Modern youth face many problems that they can't solve by themselves. Such problems affect their future life. Young men, nowadays, don't know how to spend their leisure time profitably. They may waste time keeping company with bad people who spoil their characters. They might fall into bad habits which may ruin their health. Two of the bad habits that young men might have are drug-taking and smoking. Those addicted to these vices can't help get over such problems by themselves. To protect the youth and pave the way for them to lead a happy life void of bad habits, parents must take due care of their children so that they may not mix with bad people. It is the responsibility of parents, schools and universities to enlighten young people on the destructive effects of drug-taking and bad company. Prevention is better than cure. It is difficult for a young man to choose his future wife nowadays. He might fail to choose the right one. If so, marriage is not, therefore, a success and may end in divorce. The salaries which young people get nowadays are so low that they do not keep pace with the high costs of living. The housing problem caused them remaining unmarried as it is very difficult for a young man to find a house to live in.
