Doubles Plus One I Have Who Has?

This game is for eleven players. Below is a description of how to play:
Pass one card to each student. The student who has the START card begins by reading her card aloud, for example Who has the sum of 4 and 5? The person who has the I have 9 card responds by reading his card aloud. This continues until the last card has been read.

Tips:
Ask students to stand at the beginning of the activity. Once a student has read her card, she may sit down. This makes it easier to see how many people are left. Because most classes have more than eleven students, you may wish to split the class into groups of eleven and have the groups try to get the fastest time.

Adding 2-Digit Numbers

Front End Addition means that you add the tens first and then the ones.

32 + 46 Example: Step 1 - Add the tens: 30 + 40 = 70 Step 2 Add the ones: 2 + 6 = 8 Step 3 Add the tens and ones together: 70 + 8 = 78 So, 32 + 46 = 78
Now its your turn!

21 + 35

Add the tens: _____ + _____ = _____ Add the ones: _____ + _____ = _____ Add the tens and ones together: _____ + _____ = _____ So, 21 + 35 = _____

73 + 14

Add the tens: _____ + _____ = _____ Add the ones: _____ + _____ = _____ Add the tens and ones together: _____ + _____ = _____ So, 73 + 14 = _____
