FuelEX… A Brief Overview
The FuelEX is a very powerful,
inexpensive fuel conditioning unit that is
simply attached around the inlet fuel line
of any engine. The most prolific benefits
of this device can be a significant
reduction in fuel consumption, and much cleaner exhaust emissions.
The FuelEX Unit creates a power source between two neodymium
super magnets (the most powerful permanent magnets available). This
magnetic field is powerful enough to crack open the hydrocarbon clusters in
any fuel, dispersing the molecules and allowing them to react more readily
with oxygen. This can provide significantly improved combustion
characteristics in your engine, and can give you more power, lower emissions
and more miles for your money !!!!!!!!!
The reduction in emissions resulting from this improved combustion
can be massive. The cleaner combustion extends the power retention and life
of your engine. The cleaner exhaust also extends the life of your catalytic
converter. If your car doesn’t have a catalytic converter, the FuelEX should be
able to clean up your emissions to a satisfactory level anyway.
Where Did This Technology Originate From ?
Scientists and engineers have been working
on magnetic effects in fuel combustion since the early
1940’s. At the height of World War Two, the R.A.F.
and the U.S.A.F. were trying to find ways of getting
better range and performance out of their Spitfires
and Mustangs, which were then running on poorer
quality fuels. The Americans created a magnetic device which achieved this, but at
this time it was decided that it was too heavy and cumbersome (the required field
strength was only achievable by using electromagnetism back then) .
Today we can create even more powerful magnetic fields from devices no bigger
than a matchbox ! In 1952, Felix Bloch and Edward Mills Purcell were jointly awarded
a Nobel prize for their work on magnetic fields in relation to solid, liquid and gas
substances.
In the 1950s an American rocket scientist called Simon Ruskin discovered that
magnetic stimulation could convert parahydrogen into orthohydrogen. This magnetic
stimulation meant the application of a special magnetic field can change the spin
state of the hydrogen molecule, producing huge benefits in fuel efficiency !!! Ruskin
was thus granted U.S. Utility Patent no. 328,868, which is only issued to patents that
are scientifically proven to be operable and correct !
FuelEX… A Combustion Accelerator
• The FuelEX can change the layout of hydrocarbon molecules in a fuel so that much
more fuel can be ignited in your engine, instead of being emitted through the
exhaust as partially burnt toxins and other by-products.
• Normal fuel contains molecules that tend to attract each other and bind together
into large clusters (associations), being charged positively and negatively at
random. Oxygen is negatively charged and is therefore repelled by the negatively
charged hydrocarbons. These packed hydrocarbon clusters “conceal” or “protect”
a certain amount of the hydrocarbon molecules in the fuel and prevent oxygen
from being able to reach them and oxidize them (combustion). In a modern high-
speed internal combustion engine, the oxygen has very little time to react with the
hydrocarbons. The protected hydrocarbon molecules remain un-burnt and are
simply dumped as deposits in the engine, or exhausted as harmful emissions. The
inefficiency is significant. When the FuelEx is fitted, things are different !
• As fuel travels along the fuel line, it passes through the powerful magnetic field
created by the FuelEX unit. The hydrocarbon molecules in the fuel then become
positively charged, making them repel each other. This repulsion breaks the
hydrocarbon clusters wide open, allowing the oxygen molecules to have more
access to the hydrocarbon molecules, which they are now fully attracted to (due to
the opposing charges) !!!!!!!
• The resultant fuel can do much more work in the engine, instead of being partially
combusted and wasted as emissions. The combustion in the engine is much faster
and more efficient and there is a greater release of energy for the same given
amount of fuel.
Installation And Stabilisation…
The FuelEX is a compact little unit that is very simple to install:
• Check the engine CC of your vehicle first. Larger engines will require TWO OR
MORE FuelEX devices fitted in series to gain optimum efficiency.
• Carry out a simple mpg test before fitting, so that you can compare before and
after results.
• Locate the fuel inlet pipe coming from the fuel tank. DO NOT GET THIS CONFUSED
WITH THE FUEL RETURN PIPE, which is usually smaller and connects to a top-hat
shaped fuel pressure relief valve. Place the two parts of the FuelEx around the fuel
line after the fuel filter, just ahead (as close as possible) of the fuel pump,
carburettor or injector rail. The arrows should be pointing in the direction of the
fuel flow. Keep the unit at least 10cm away from any electronic sensors. The unit
is then simply attached with the cable ties provided.
Allow for the stabilisation period :
• The FuelEX unit requires a stabilisation period. This is because the unit aids the
breakdown of accumulated internal carbon deposits, which may temporarily
affect the combustion process until the cleaning is complete.
• In some cases this is very short, but you should usually allow 1,500Km (four To six
weeks) for engine cleaning to be completed.
• It is also a good idea to replace the air and oil filters at the end of this period. As
lot of deposits cleaned from the engine surface (by the FuelEX) will be removed by
doing this. You should also have one of your regular tune-ups too.
Installation Details…
<- LEFT
Locate the fuel supply line between
the fuel filter and the injector Pump,
Carburettor or Injector Rail. Fit the
FuelEX as close as possible to the
engine but keep it at least 10 cm
away from any built in electronic
sensors!

RIGHT->
Align the arrows on the FuelEX body in
the direction of the fuel flow. Use the
Two Nylon Cable Ties supplied to secure
the Unit to the fuel line and then check
to ensure that both sides are parallel.
Rotate adjacent units through 90
degrees to each other!
Other Applications…
The FuelEX can also be used on diesel, paraffin and gas (including
L.P.G.) central heating boilers and appliances, giving the same
benefits as with vehicles. Appliances fitted with the FuelEX also
benefit from LOWER SOOT LEVELS. This will also reduce
maintenance costs.

Using the FuelEX in this way can provide more heat from a given
amount of fuel, allowing the energy requirements of the appliance to
be reduced.

•Your boiler uses up to 15% less fuel

•Your maintenance costs are reduced
•Your boiler’s BTU rating is increased
•Radiators heat up faster from cold
•Burner flames are cleaner and hotter
•Harmful flue emissions are reduced

Frequently Asked Questions…
Will any magnet work ?
No. A regular magnet hasn’t got the power to break up hydrocarbon bonds. FuelEx does have that
power.
What is “hydrocarbon” anyway ?
Hydrocarbon is a chemical compound composed of carbon and hydrogen. It is distilled from crude
oil to make many forms of fuel such as gasoline, diesel oil, paraffin e.t.c.
What are hydrocarbon “ clusters ” ?
These are groups of hydrocarbon molecules that attract each other and cling together. This causes
many molecules to become “trapped” inside the cluster and therefore unavailable for burning.
Why cant the oil companies pre-treat the fuel before we buy it ?
Unused Fuel remains treated only for a few hours. As it leaves the influence of a magnetic field, the
beneficial condition is quickly lost. That’s why the process has to happen immediately before the
fuel is ignited !
Why install the FuelEX 100mm away from electronic sensors ?
Modern engine management systems use several built in sensors which are fitted very close to the
combustion chamber. Placing the FuelEX unit in near proximity to them could transmit false signals
back to the main CPU thus causing an incorrect fuel mixture to be fed into the engine.
How does the FuelEX internally clean the engine ?
Over time a car engine will build up carbon deposits as the result of incomplete combustion, which
takes place in all engines. The conditioned fuel from the FuelEX unit helps to break up these
deposits so that they can be removed.
How does the FuelEX reduce harmful emissions ?
The FuelEx reduces harmful emissions by creating a more complete combustion of the fuel. All
standard fuels suffer from significant amounts of Partial Combustion in any engine. This is due to
the “clustering” described before. This means that all the fuel is not completely burned up, and
Partially Combusted fuel forms harmful gases such as deadly Carbon Monoxide.
The FuelEX conditions the fuel to achieve more complete combustion, thus leaving much less carbon
around to form these harmful by-products. Less oxygen is also left over to form other harmful
Nitrogen and Sulphur Dioxides. When this more complete and cleaner combustion is achieved, the
main emissions from carbon combustion are Carbon Dioxide and Water. Both harmless to the
human body.

Do I need to adjust the engine’s fuel system ?

No. Modern fuel injection systems are self adjusting. Carburettors should be properly tuned in the
first place before fitting the FuelEX and again after stabilisation. Re-tuning of the “cleaner engine”
after stabilisation of the FuelEX unit is always a good way to achieve the new optimum combustion..
What is the stabilisation period ?
This is the time taken to dissolve the carbon/varnish build up in the engine and fully magnetically
saturate all the steel parts between the Fuel unit and the combustion chamber. It usually takes
approx. 1,500 Km or 4 to 6 weeks.

What if I can’t install the FuelEX close to the engine induction system ?
Although the FuelEX works best close to the engine induction system, it has been tested up to
800mm away and still gives excellent results.

Is the FuelEX unit difficult to install ?

On most vehicles installation only takes a few minutes. Just make sure that you are fitting it to the
correct fuel line. There are two fuel lines between the tank and engine on fuel injection systems. Be
certain to fit it onto the supply line. If you choose the wrong line nothing will happen!
Testing… Warren Springs Laboratories UK (1992)
In 1992, The Warren Springs Laboratories were chosen to begin extensive
testing and trials on the benefits of magnetic fuel conditioning technology in
the United Kingdom. These laboratories are the UK Government DTI’s own
vehicle testing department.

In the final report they concluded :

(1) confirmation of increased power output (bhp)
(2) confirmation of improved fuel economy (mpg)
(3) confirmation of reductions in deadly emissions

The final conclusion stated “Both series of tests showed CONSISTENT

REDUCTIONS in carbon emissions, fuel consumption and the oxides of
nitrogen. ‘ When the unit was removed the results were reversed”
