I am currently a Mechanical Lngineering major at Iowa State Uniersity. I completed my irst year,
inishing with a GPA o 3.42, and will continue my education there in the all.
I personally chose Mechanical Lngineering as my career path due to its inolement in the
mechanical aspect and or its diersity in the engineering ield. Mechanical engineers contribute to many
industries and occupations. Some mechanical engineers work in areas not traditionally thought to be
engineering-related. Lorts to clean up and presere the earth's enironment hae drawn many engineers
to projects that deal in with restoration.
My idea or a proessional career lies in lay towards |i i had to choose one o these two, i would
choose MBZT towards, but I think the word inoles would suice| creating sustainability along with
improing eiciency in modern day energy ields. A degree in mechanical engineering, being such a
broad education, helps one to assess,sp, and understand the impact o engineering solutions in a global,
economic, enironment and societal context. It teaches me arious techniques in designing a system,
component or process to meet desired needs within all realistic constraints and allows |while at the same
time it allows what you hae works, just an idea| me to ocus more towards my passion o sustainability.
I want to design a better concept to harest recyclable energy and improe the eiciency in
cars. Ater establishing a suitable base in the working ield, I can start pursuing my lie goal o creating a
nonproit organization towards helping minority Vietnamese students pursue a higher education.
