Introduction to ACCA - What is ACCA?
The ACCA Qualification is a highly relevant, targeted combination of study and practical experience. The syllabus is a result of extensive research and consultation with governments, students, colleges and employers from a range of public and private sector organisations. Future employers will be aware of your potential, because the ACCA qualification is highly regarded throughout the world. Remember: YOU MUST REGISTER AS A STUDENT WITH ACCA. Non-registration will mean that you will not be able to study with us nor sit any exams or progress on the course. How to register with the ACCA: By Post Request an information pack to be sent to you in the post. Complete the form and enclose it with appropriate supporting documentation (proof of qualifications etc). Return it to the UK address by recorded delivery. Online Register online at: www.accaglobal.com Complete the online registration form. Print out and complete the ACCA Declaration Sheet, and enclose it with appropriate supporting documentation (proof of qualifications, etc.). Return it to the UK address by recorded delivery. Deadlines
You can register with the ACCA at any time; it is your responsibility to register with the institute and for the examinations. There are two examination sessions per year; in order to sit for a particular session, the ACCA must receive your registration form, fees, and relevant documents by the following dates: For June Examinations Institute registration by 31 December (of the preceding year) Exam entry deadline*: 15 April (of the same examination year) For December Examinations Institute registration by 15 August (of the same year) Exam entry deadline*: 15 October (of the same examination year) *no late entry
5 Once your application has been processed successfully (please allow a minimum of six weeks), you will receive your Student Information Pack, which contains all you need to know as a student of ACCA.

ACCA Programme Exemptions Students with relevant qualifications may be entitled to exemptions from certain ACCA examinations. You can expect to receive exemptions if you hold; + a relevant degree, or; + a relevant professional qualification. For example, students who hold AAT membership will be exempt from papers F1, F2 and F3. No exemptions are given for Professional Level examinations. To claim exemptions for June exam sitting you must send the relevant documents by 31st January. Please note that you must complete your registration before 31st December. When claiming exemptions for December exam sitting you must complete your registration with ACCA and send all the relevant documents for exemptions before 31st July.

The minimum entry requirements for students wishing to register with ACCA under the Professional Examination Practical Experience Requirement Route are: Please be aware that to become ACCA-qualified You must be at least 18 years old and meet at least one accountant you must pass your exams as well as of the following criteria or equivalent for the complete the practical experience requirement. For entry to ACCAs professional qualification via the MSER you must be over the age of 21. You must also pass papers F2 and F3 before you can sit any other papers. This must be done within two years from the date of your first eligible exam session, before progressing onto the professional qualification. If you intend to sit your other papers for June exam sitting you need to pass your F2 and F3 exams by January 31st. (if you are sitting a computer based exam). If you are sitting a written exam this should be done on the date scheduled by ACCA for that period. There is no time limit to gaining practical experience and applying for ACCA membership. The performance objectives are closely linked to the exam syllabus and it is recommended that you co-ordinate your study and practical experience achievement.
