It’s your time to lead.
Organizational Truths
1. We will actively recruit, support, assist, and train the most
innovative and qualified urban leaders (education, business, law).
2. We will provide direct professional services that surpass the most
rigorous and ethical standards of public service.
3. We will provide direct tools, services, and guidance to school
leaders focused on the educational demands of a knowledge‐based
society.
Interested in joining Learn to Lead?
This essay must describe how your areas of strength and areas for
improvement have provided the foundation for you to serve as an
exemplary school leader or board chair for a Learn to Lead Academy
School. You must specifically articulate your current vision for your
role in education over the next five to ten years.
Approval of Charter Application
Learn to Lead strategy will include ongoing e‐learning and on‐site
planning focused on the implementation of knowledge‐based
leadership, specifically applied to the uncompromising principles of
the Learn to Lead vision.

leaders focused on the educational demands of a knowledge‐based
society.
The Board will assist very well qualified individuals from graduate schools of
education, urban schools, and local communities interested in beginning a charter
school with precise and strategically targeted advice, planning, and direct
services related to achieving highly specific and articulated outcomes
reinforcing:
1) the fully integrated demands for education in a knowledge‐based society
2) the daily modeling of student and teacher leadership,
3) the ongoing implementation of teacher mentoring,
4) the application of formally planned time for professional development,
and
5) the implementation of compensation structures based on demonstrated
knowledge and skills.
The Board will provide the tools to assist these qualified individuals /
organizations with the following:
• In‐depth planning and business strategy of at least 18‐months in duration,
• A charter school vision aligned with the founding principles of Learn to
Lead,
• A strong and demonstrated commitment to the principle of student and
teacher leadership.
There will be Learn to Lead Academies specializing in various disciplines based
on the self‐directed areas of the individual and/or sponsor submitting an
application for a charter school (i.e. mathematics, science, the arts, etc.).
