Emulso. Disperso coloidal de dois lquidos no miscveis. Disperso: partculas slidas dispersas em solvente. So classificadas em colides e ou suspenses.

What is the difference between an Emulsion and a Dispersion? Both terms indicate the existence of a continuous and a dispersed phase. Emulsion refers to a system where the dispersed phase is a liquid product whereas the term dispersion describes the presence of a solid dispersed phase in a liquid continuous phase. DEFINITION OF AN AQUEOUS DISPERSION:
A liquid system in which very small solid particles are uniformly dispersed in water. These are two-phase liquid systems where one phase consists of finely divided particles of water insoluble, solid chemical products distributed throughout the second phase, which is water. Under natural conditions, the particle distribution is seldom uniform and the liquid is inherently unstable. Through fine milling techniques and incorporation of the latest developments in dispersion technology we offer finished products which are homogeneous water based liquids containing particles of uniform size with a controlled stable viscosity and an excellent shelf life. Our aqueous dispersions have found applications in emulsion and suspension polymerization, latex, coatings,

DEFINITION OF AN EMULSION:
A stable mixture of two or more immiscible liquids held in suspension by small percentages of substances called emulsifiers. All emulsions are comprised of a continuous phase and a disperse phase; in oil-in-water (o/w) emulsions water is the continuous phase and oil based ingredients the disperse phase. Under natural conditions without emulsifiers or surfactants oil and water will not mix. Through fine mixing techniques and incorporation of the latest developments in emulsion technology we offer finished products which are homogeneous water compatible liquids containing particles of uniform size with a controlled stable viscosity and an excellent shelf life. Our emulsion products have found applications in latex polymerization, coatings and adhesives.

DEFINITION OF A SOLUTION:
A uniformly dispersed mixture at the molecular or ionic level, of one or more soluble substances (the solute) in one or more other substances (the solvent), which in aqueous solutions is water. These two parts of a solution are called phases. We produce custom aqueous solutions that exhibit no phase changes while in storage or mixing and provide complete uniformity. Solutions are involved in many chemical reactions. Our products are useful in polymer production, food processing and many other industrial processing applications where consistency is critical.
