Site preparation Lay grass turf on all incoming plants routes and bridge working area. Identify existing or establish new source of water for onsite operations. Bringing a mini steel container as site office and a mobile toilet to site using a truck mounted crane. First aid equipments will be placed in site office Site Clearance All 20cm diameter trees in bridge area will be cut down. Cut trees will be removed manually, by hand and barrows, from site. Trimming or cutting over grown grass (approximately) over 200mm height, in all incoming plants routes and bridge working area, to a maximum approximate height of 200mm, will be done. Installation of Driven Piles Surveyor will set out the four pile points Two piles will be delivered to the bridge site through the Markeaton street gate while the remaining two will be delivered to the bridge site through the Kedleston street gate The pile rig will be delivered to site through the Markeaton street gate to drive the first two piles, and then through the Kedleston street gate to drive the remaining two piles For pile driving process, precast pile and pile rig gets properly positioned before driving commences Excavation Mini excavator will be used to excavate the soil in the top area of the pile for pile cap formwork. Pile Cap Formwork Carpenters put shutters in place and construct formwork to designed size Pile cap reinforcement Steel fixers move in to fix reinforcement according to detailed design and drawings

Pour Pile Cap Concrete Concrete mixer will be employed on site. Batching will be well supervised to comply with mix design. Concreting in general will be well supervised to comply with given concrete specification Mixing place will be located close to the formworks Mixing for the two caps will be done in one place. Two strong planks will be arranged over drainage to take concrete to the second pile cap. Wheel barrows will be used to convey concrete form mixing place to the formwork A vibrator will be employed for proper concrete compaction Bridge Installation and Fixing A crane will be employed on site to lift and position bridge in place Bolt holes will be drilled, according to specifications, into the edge side of the beams faces and the pile caps. Steel angles fabricated to have the necessary holes, according to specification, will be put in place and properly bolted to the beams and pile caps in order to ensure a well secured connection between the two. Grout will be injected, under pressure, between the beams and the pile cap to cover for surface irregularities and thus further secure the connection. The slab will be tilled at slab/hand rails connection points and Bonsal Anchorage Cement will be applied. Hand rails will then be put in place before Bonsal Anchorage Cement sets. This will ensure secured fixing of the hand rails to the slab. Hand rails will be properly painted according to architects specification Bridge Approach Platform The bridge is installed at 150mm above ground level. The bridge approach will be filled with rubbles in a slanting form starting from 1.5m away from each bridge edge down to the bridge edges. Cement/sand mortar will be mixed manually on site and subsequently poured on the rubbles

The cement/sand mortar will be spread on the rubbles to attain a small slope that starts from the ground level at 1.5m away from the bridge edges and links the bridge edges at the slab surface level. This will take the form of a ramp. The mortar will be finished to give a slightly rough surface
