1.The House of Thoth: Our father Tehuti was known to the Greeks as Thoth or Hermes Trismegist. He is the Natar of calculations and measurements, who created the hieroglyphics, mathematics, calender systems and Se.ne.te. as well. The first month of the year is named Tekhi (meaning the Ibis bird or an obelisk) and is an attribute of Tehuti; the first day of every month is named Tekhi. The Sene.te. board is a layout of the month with the first and last days representing the new moon, the fifthteenth day is equivalent to the full moon. If your Ibau begin here, you are Tehuti, the masculine digits 1,3,5,7,9,11,13 represent the left side of the body. 12. The House of Orion/ Sah: This house is the house of our father As.ar (Osiris). It reminds the second player that As.ar was

actually a moon deity as well. The fourteen pieces that his body was

chopped into mirrors the phases of the moon; the fourteen daysof the waxing moon is the reuniting of his body. The number sequence 2,4,6,8,10,12,14 represents the feminine aspect, shedding light on the fact that As.ar was nurtured by his two sisters, As.t and Neb.t. hoot. 15. The House of Life: The symbol on this square is an Ankh, usually flanked by two Waas scepters(symbols of strength, power and health). This house actually begins the journey across the Se.ne.te. board; no Ib can procede through the labyrinth unless first landing on this square. This fifthteenth square correlates to the great fifthteenth day festivalcelebrated by the Ben.nu Society, it is the full moon feast day. 16. The House of Netting: This square causes the player whose Ib has landed on it to lose a turn. After the lost turn the Ib must be removed from the house as soon as possible. 26. The House of Rejuvenation: It is known as the temple where the priest mummified and prepared the deceased for its journey through the Dwat; it is also called the House of Death for this same reason. A player must roll a number that will land his Ib on this square exactly. Once on this square, a player throws for his destiny- a 1, 5 or 6lands an Ib in the pitfall, a trap door: the labyrinth maze within the House of water (Per Mu). 27. The House of Waters: A boat floats on the waters of chaos,

28. The House of Three: 29. The House of Two: 30. The House of One: Words of some ancient Se.ne.te. Masters: From Pepi Ankh: It has alighted. Be happy my heart, for I shall cause you to see it taken away. Opponent says: You speak as one weak of tongue for passing is mine (the term passing is the exact meaning of Se.ne.te.). From Nebenmaat: sitting in the pavilion, playing Senet knowing three, finding two. From unnamed Master: I seize his game pieces (ibau) so that he might drown together with his game pieces. I throw him in the water.

The Supreme Mathematics of Se.ne.te.

The number of Ibau (E.be.oo.) are interesting to note. There are seven ibau for each player. The first players squares are 1,3,5,7,9,11 and 13 which adds up to 49, which is 7 x 7. The second players Ibau, 2,4,6,8,10,12 and14, add up to 56, which is 7 x 8.

Upon close examination of the mathematics involved in Se.ne.te., it seems that the number seven is of central importance. Seven is closely linked to Natarat Seshat, the deity of writing and seven is mentioned constantly in magical

prescriptions and incantations; seven is also related to delivery from sickness, adversity and ill-fortune.

If you add the number seven to each of the numbers of the last three squares you arrive at 42 (7 x 3 = 21, 7 x 2 = 14, 7 x 1 = 7 [21 + 14 + 7 = 42]). Forty-two is known as the number of negative Confessions which qualifies the spiritual aspirant to enter Natar- Khert or Amenta (Set-Amentet), through the Dwat. Forty-two is also the number of nomes (cities) in ancient Egypt: 22 in Upper Egypt and 20 in Lower Egypt.

We of the Ben.nu Society, use what has been termed Pythagorean mathematics, which was stolen from our ancestors. Pythagorean progression is the math that says that the planetary power expands by seven, meaning: the Sun = 1, Mercury = 7, Venus = 14, the Earth/Moon system = 21, Mars = 28, Jupiter = 35 and Saturn = 42.

This math says that the planets are in Pythagorean progression
