Communication System to use all authorised features. Your extention may not be autohorised to use all features. The features which will be explained, are the following. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 1. Call Transfer. You may transfer an internal or external call to any other extension or to the switchboard (9). 1.1 Transfer to a Free Extension (Announcing the Call). Press the Transfer key and listen for internal dialing tone. Dial the required extension or switchboard and when the extension or switchboard answers, announce the call and replace the handset. If the called party does not answer, press the Transfer key. Internal dialing tone is heard briefly and you are now connected to the original call. 1.2 Transfer to a Free Extension (Call not Announced). Press the Transfer key and listen for internal dialing tone. Dial the required extension or switchboard and when you hear ringing tone, replace the handset. The call has now been transferred. If the ringing extension does not answer within a predetermined time the call will automatically be transferred back to your extension. 1.3 Transfer to an Engaged Extension. Press the Transfer key and listen for internal dialing tone. Dial the required extension number, when you hear the engaged tone, replace the handset. The call has now been transferred to the engaged extension. If the engaged extension terminates the call within a predetermined time and replaces the handset the transferred call will ring the extension. If the extension remains engaged the call will automatically be transferred to your extension. 2. Enquiry Call. This feature allows you to hold an existing call, dial another extension or even an external number, conduct a conversation without the original caller overhearing and then return to the original caller. 2.1 Activate Enquiry Call. Press the Transfer key and listen for internal dialing tone. Dial the required extension or dial 0 and then the required external number. Conduct your conversation, press the transfer key

to return to the original call. You may use the Toggle facility to switch between the original and 3rd party calls. In each case the other party is automatically placed on hold. 3. Toggle Between Calls. You have a call on the line and wish to make a second call and want to toggle between both calls. 3.1 Activate Toggle. You are engaged on a call, press the Transfer key and listen for internal dialing tone. Dial the required extension or external number preceded by 0 for outside line. When the 2nd party answers, press transfer key and listen for internal dialing tone. Dial now *27 and you may now toggle between the two parties by pressing the Transfer key. 4. Call Pick Up. The call pick up feature allows you to answer any ringing extension in your pickup group from your telephone. A pick-up group is set up by the system administrator (E-mail Stormja) 4.1 Activate Call Pick Up. An extension within your pick-up group is ringing. Lift the handset and listen for internal dialing tone. Dial *33 and you have answered the call. 5. Call Back. Call Back requests can be left on extensions which have been rung and not answered or engaged. 5.1 Activate Call Back - Engaged. The called extension is engaged, dial *22 and when confirmation tone is heard, replace the handset. The system will automatically call you back when both your extension and the called extension are free. Just lift your handset and ringing tone is heard as the required extension is rung. Should you fail to answer a Call Back that you have activated, the system will automatically cancel the feature after ringing your extension for a predetermined time. 5.2 Activate Call Back - No Answer. Called extension does not answer. Dial *22 and when confirmation tone is heard, replace handset. When the caled party returns to the office and has used the telephone the system will ring your telephone. Just lift your handset and ringing tone is heard as the required extension is rung. 5.3 Cancel Call Back (Before Ring Back). Lift your handset and dial #22, when confirmation tone is heard just replace the handset.

6. 3 Way Conference. This feature allows you to bring up another party into an existing conversation on your extension. This other party could be external, internal or both. 6.1 Activate a 3 Way Conference. You are engaged on a call, press the Transfer key and listen for internal dialing tone. Dial the required extension or 0 and the external number. Press the Transfer key and within 2 seconds dial *31. The conference tone is heard and 3 parties are connected. 6.2 Consult with an internal or external party when busy with a conference. Press the Transfer key and listen for internal dialing tone. Dial the required extension or 0 and the external number, consult with the party. When you press the Transfer key, you are reconnected to the conference. 7. Variable Call Forwarding. This is a temporary Call Forwarding feature which allows you to divert all your calls to an destination of your choice and will override your Fixed Call Forwarding destination. 7.1 Programme Variable Call Forwarding. Lift the handset and listen for internal dialing tone. Dial *10 and the required extension or 0 and the external number. When confirmation tone is heard, replace the handset. When you lift the handset, special dialing tone will be heard to remind you that the feature is activated. Calls will now go through to the Variable Call Forward destination immediately. 7.2 Cancel Variable Call Forwarding. Lift the handset and dial #10, listen for confirmation tone and replace the handset. Calls will now ring as normal on your extension. Your Fixed Call Forward destination will now be restored, if it has been programmed. 8. Fixed Call Forwarding. Your line can be forwarded to a fixed destination for answering. This can be to either a Digital, analogue extension or external number. 8.1 Programme or Change Fixed Call Forwarding. Lift the handset and listen for internal dialing tone. Dial *11 and the required extension or 0 and external number, listen for confirmation tone and replace the handset. The Fixed Call Forward destination has now been permanently programmed. Calls will now go through to the Fixed Call Forward destination immediately. When you lift your handset, special dialing tone will also be heard to remind you that the feature is activated. 8.2 Deactivate Fixed Call Forwarding. Lift the handset and dial #10. After confirmation tone is heard, replace the handset. When Fixed Call Forward destination has been programmed but deactivated it will serve as Call Forward No Answer i.e. If your extension rings for longer than 20 seconds it will automatically

divert to the Fixed destination. 8.3 Reactivate Fixed Call Forwarding. Lift the handset and listen for internal dial tone. Dial *10, after confirmation tone is heard, replace the handset. Calls will now go through to the Fixed Call Forward destination immediately. 8.4 Cancel Fix Call Forwarding. Lift the handset and listen for intenal dialing tone. Dial #11, after confirmation tone is heard, replace the handset. A new destination number must be programmed before Fixed Call Forwarding can be used again.
