My Number Book encourages children to practice printing the numbers 1 to 10.

The numbers are

presented in a special “School Font”, which has guide lines and dots to help children visualize the
written numbers. Arrows show the direction of pencil or crayon strokes which a child should use
when printing the numbers, and children can count aloud groups of butterflies equaling the numbers
printed. This little book can be worked on for several days, winding up with the presentation of the
certificate on the final page.

How to Make the Book: Cut the number sheets in half as marked, arrange the pages in order with the
certificate as the last page, bind the pages together with staples at the left, and fold the pages along
the dotted lines at the left. When a child has finished printing all of the numbers, fill in the child’s
name on the last page, which is the certificate of award.

We hope you and the children you work with will enjoy making this little book and we hope you will
visit our Web site often for new ideas and projects.
