Sopha is non-governmental, non political and non-profit making humanitarian organization. Sopha was established in April 2008, by a development oriented elites who are committed to develop and advocate the ill-fated IDBs and civil war society living along the south and central Somalia. Somali peace and humanitarian aid (SOPHA) works for improving peoples basic needs through sustainable development, resource conservation, health, Education, water and sanitation as well as promotion and protection Of human rights (advocacy), gender issues, governance, income generation Activity and provision of humanitarian assistance in emergency responses Through partnership with UN agencies and international NGOs and other Well-wishers.

Objectives:
The main objectives of (SOPHA) are: To advocate for IDBs/ returns and minority groups, provide settlement And building their capacity economically and socially. To build up HIV/AIDS awareness through the young generation and Community at large To develop the literacy rural/urban livestock people. To improve the socio-economic of Somali war effected people to tackle And alleviate poverty and related underlining issues through appropriate intervention. Contribute and facilitate the smooth flow Of humanitarian. Promotion and protection of human right and fundamental freedoms In order to enhance the dignity of individuals and community. SOPHA will focus on specific objectives described in following section.
Specific objectives: Provide Humanitarian assistance to the vulnerable groups and disaster affected populations in Somalia. To improve rural food security, and alleviate hunger and poverty in rural areas To promote environmental management in urban and rural areas To improve health & Education services providing system in urban and rural population To improve access of clean water drinking and sanitations in Somalia 8. Vision: SOPHA vision is to all young people, regardless of ethnic, gender, class or abilities are acknowledged for having the capacity to realize their rights and transform their realities and to find no IDPs and refugees are in want of help to find protection and durable solutions, with SOPHA improved capacities to prevent the causes of displacement in Somalia. By improving The Socio-Economic situation of the target community considering the most vulnerable groups especially those in remote / rural areas through creation of development programs, rehabilitation of social infrastructure, HIV/AIDS awareness, and mobilization in partnership with the donors and the community. 9. Mission statement SOPHA empowers and develops society and serves individuals as well as families living in its overage areas by improving their living conditions through enhancing infrastructure, educational activities Promotes Peace and development in Gender Mainstreaming and Operational sing Human Rights Based Approach to Programming activities, to empower the public, and safeguard human rights, in good governance. Enhancement of livelihood, health delivery system, Education and Economic by Creation of job opportunities based on market driving forces and small scale business places for all Somalis particularly Women and Youth.

disasters, extreme poverty, all forms of violence and exploitation and those with disabilities.

GOALS: Reduced the protection concerns of IDPs, Refugees, Returnees and Local communities through in a sustainable manner with host community awareness and provision of better services and equal rights. Provision of humanitarian assistance, and stabilization of food security in the town and riverine areas through mobilization of national and international resources. The strategy of the organization is to provide skills based livelihoods, and productive assets within vulnerable people in the country.
