CONCEPTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE UNITED NATIONS 1967: Social welfare as an organized function is regarded as a body of activities designed to enable individuals, families, groups and communities to cope with the social problems of changing conditions. But in addition to and extending beyond the range of its responsibilities for specific services, social welfare has a further function within the broad area of a country's social development. In this larger sense, social welfare should play a major role in contributing to the effective mobilization and deployment of human and material resources of the country to deal successfully with the social requirements of change, thereby participating in nation-building. DEFINITIONS OF SOCIAL WELFARE ADMINISTRATION Social Welfare administration is aims it on, comprising policies and laws, that are operational by organized activities of voluntary (private) and / or govern meant (public)agencies, by which a defined minimum of social services, money and other consumption rights are distributed to individuals, families and groups, by criteria other than those of their place or those prevailing in the family system, for the purpose of preventing, alleviating or contributing to solution of recognized social problems so as to improve the well being of the individuals, groups and communities directly. DEFINITION OF SOCIAL WORK ADMINISTRATION Social Work is a professional and academic discipline committed to the pursuit of social justice and human rights. The field works towards research and practice to improve the quality of life and to the development of the potential of each individual, group and community of a society. Social workers perform interventions through research, policy, community organizing, direct practice and teaching. Research is often focused on areas such as human development, social policy, public administration, program evaluation and international and community development.
