First Year Grad Works

Cardboard Clones

Marbles Machines

The marble machine was built of balsa wood strips, strings, and paper. It needs to support the transfer of two different sizes marbles from start, which a loop, a jump and a drop need to occur between the two marbles before they stop at the same time.

Geometric Horizon

Conceptual translation of three spatial concepts by constructing through geometric languages: with lines; lines and planes; with lines planes and solids. All lines are black. All planes are grey. All solids are white.

Cartesian Grids
Three-dimensional spaces derived from coordinate axis. The spaces are divided as residential programs while dened by the coordinate units. This is the nal stage from the Geometric Horizon

House of Memory
The house of memory is designing your childhood home to improve on its accomodation to your family members through new program congurations. In my house, I divided the house into three zones, so the elders, the parents, and the children are separated from bedrooms but joined at family and dining rooms.

Housing Matters

In this project, the process begin with creating a elds into masses, through the negative and positive environment of the shadow, lines, and spaces. We derive spaces from different scales for the ideal space for the ve imaginery clients, whom would occupy these spaces. The end product is the Barrio Logan mixed-use residential apartments at Cesar E. Chaves Pkwy and Newton Avenue.

Exploring structure connection variations through material trajectories, in the isochoric system, the modules are shifted in x, y, z axis while keeping their volumes.

Torrey Pines Glider Port

The Torrey Pines Glider Port is located in La Jolla, California at the south bluff area of the Torrey Pine Park. The aim for this project is skin and bones. The building design is based on a the sites topography, using the hexagonal shape as the arbitrary geometry to generate the building overall structure. The exterior claddings are derive from it. The building skin is made by different panels which each serves as different purpose. There are four types: Water moisture absorber panel (Blue), glass window panel (White), vegetation roof panel (Green), and solar energy panel (Grey).

Ocean Beach Pier Central Park

This project is aim to continue and improve the existing pedestrian lifestyle and culture as the population grows in Ocean Beach, California. In order to accommodate the population growth in the future, the utilization of the older buildings and spaces for the benet of existing culture is crucial to establish prominence in this distinct location. The proposed mix-use building is has the same footprint as the existing building. The proposed park will bring life back to the 2nd longest pier on the west coast.
